Hotel's Favourite
For sure an older Inn, it doesn’t look like much from the street side. But they have updated the things that matter, the views are incredible, and the staff are amazing.
The beds are super comfy with fluffy pillows. The towels are soft and big.
The breakfast at the restaurant is quick and delicious, and they do a good job with gluten free. 💕
All in all we very much enjoyed our stay

We stayed two nights at the Glen Lyon Inn during the covid-19 pandemic. Our room was clean, quiet & comfortable with an amazing view from the third floor balcony. The reception area was well-sanitized with proper social- distancing measures in place. The check in & check out staff were extremely friendly & helpful.
We will be back!

Never judge a book by its cover. From front it doesn’t look much get past the friendly check in open the door to your room and you will be surprised every room has a stunning view of the harbour and a balcony. The pub and restaurant are attached to the hotel and serve up good quality reasonably price breakfasts and dinners. Don’t expect sophisticated dining take it for what it is and enjoy the local welcome and service

It is the story of rejuvenation. It looks like the property changed owners in 2018. The had renovated the room I stayed in which was well done clean with new beds and furniture, very clean and comfortable. The view was good and very tranquil.
The food in the restaurant was good home cooking, nothing fancy but very well done, and the waitress we had was very cheery.
Unfortunately, they have not made it outside of the rooms yet. The rest of the property is worn and haggard. I have no doubt that when we all get out the other side of COVID that should they apply the same level of care the did to the rooms to the remainder of the property it will be a very pleasant place to stay.

Really happy we booked here. Rooms on the second and third floor have balconies with beautiful views overlooking the harbour. We picked up a 6 pack of beer, ordered food from the attached restaurant (great food), and sat on the balcony to enjoy the evening. It’s super clean and looks like they are taking the correct Covid protection measures.

The hotel rooms were very nice, clean and well kept. The view from our room out onto Hardy Bay was fantastic with the tide coming and going we were able to see a lot of Eagles. Service was excellent and anything we needed they were very helpful. Even with Covid restrictions they did an excellent job with service. Not a complaint and will recommend to anyone I know visiting the area.

Very impressed. Spotlessly clean. Staff helpful and friendly. They said the owners want guests to have a good experience, and it shows. New carpeting, new chair in room, granite countertop in washroom. The walls were freshly painted. Balcony had great views. Inside dining was closed due to COVID but we were given breakfast vouchers. We were called when the food was ready and enjoyed the food in our room. Highly recommend as the best place to stay when visiting Port Hardy.

The location speaks for itself!! Walking trails are a few feet away from the front door and sensational views from the room balcony simply speak for themselves. Each morning, to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the tide roll in, eagles and all sorts of wild life all around was amazing. Even better, was the customer service I received throughout my stay. No question went unanswered and no request was too much. The room was clean and well maintained. Very happy with my stay!

+1
The staff were so friendly upon arrival & the duration of our stay. The room was extremely spacious and relaxing with a huge balcony. The view is gorgeous!!!
There are a few places that deliver food to your room, there is a restaurant on site ( Separate management from the hotel itself ) we won't be customers of the restaurant ever again, but the hotel and staff were awesome & I will go back.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We had room 314, king bed. Views are amazing even from the bed. Bed super comfy. Due to covid restrictions there was no daily housekeeping, but you just call the front desk if you need anything. Girls at front desk were great. They appreciated that we came to stay. They are on the ball with working with covid restrictions and we felt safe, no issues. I would highly recommend this property and would stay again. The food is the restaurant is good as well.
