My wife and I were on our honeymoon in the Summer of 2015 when we stayed with Denis and Louise at the Eagle's Nest. We hadn't booked a room for every night we were on the Island and so by chance we arrived in Port Hardy on the day there was a major incident involving the RCMP, the local forest and grass fires and the poor Wildlife Officer Bryce Cassavant being suspended for saving the black bear cubs. Port Hardy was a very bust place that day!! There was not a room available in the whole town and so my wife and I happened to come across the Eagle's Nest. I approached the door and had the pleasure to speak with Dennis. Once it was confirmed that we could stay, my wife and I headed in to town for dinner. Once we arrived back at the Eagle's Nest we were invited to sit with Dennis and Louise who were entertaining friends out back. We were made to feel like family and it was one of my most fond memories of our honeymoon. Breakfast the next day was amazing and the company was a great as it had been the night before. Great people, great food, and if you are ever in Port Hardy, try and get a room at the Eagle's Nest, you won't regret it!

My husband and I and another couple spent a very comfortable night in two rooms at Eagles Nest B&B before the long slog into Cape Scott (very muddy after some rainy days). Denis and Louise were terrific hosts - very friendly, knowledgeable about the local area, and directed us to a restaurant that served delicious fish and chips. Our rooms were very clean, with beautiful quilts on all the beds (sewn by Louise herself). We wanted to make an early start on our Cape Scott Trail hike, so Denis and Louise kindly got up early to prepare breakfast for us - fresh muffins, toast, delicious coffee, jams etc. We certainly enjoyed our time at Eagles Nest B&B.

Dennis and Louise were wonderful hosts. Very informative about the area and what to see. Their place is clean comfortable and breakfast was excellent!! Location convenient for walking to town and close to the water. My husband and I and our friends had a wonderful stay in Port Hardy thanks to these 2 lovely people! Would definitely recommend this B&B! Unfortunately it was raining at the times we could have enjoyed the beautiful back yard. Debbie

Very nice, friendly, helpful people. Clean big room, complete bathroom, common room and garden. Excellent location near centre and to be quickly at the ferry. Fresh and complete breakfast, too much for people in a hurrry to catch the ferry. Too bad we coukd not stay longer!

What a great place. Simple, friendly, comfortable, with an outstanding breakfast (jams, breads, cereal, and a fresh quiche). Like many, we were only there for one night as a stopover to the Bella Coola ferry, but I could easily recommend for a longer stay. Wish there had been a King bed (my wife and I are both quite tall), but that's ultimately a minor gripe. Highly recommended!
