A true 4 star hotel with beautiful rooms. The bed was so comfortable and the room was decorated first class. Nothing was missed and very clean. This hotel is indigenous owned and the culture is represented beautifully. It was recently renovated and I highly recommend this hotel for your stay. We had views of the ocean and mountains.

From the moment I contacted the hotel until checkout we were treated like we were the only people in the hotel. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate with everything we needed. And the pub was a fun place to eat, drink, visit with staff and watch the hockey games! Thank you.

This hotel was exceptional - the decor is stunning, the service was excellent and the room was clean, comfortable and met all our needs. The attention to detail was excellent - right down to the careful selection of indigenous products in the room (body wash, coffee, etc). I look forward to having an opportunity to stay here again in the future!

Modern, clean, elegant lobby and spotless, comfortable rooms -- what a total treat to find in parts of BC where hotel accommodation seems to be generally worn and tatty. The First Nations art adorning the interiors is a wonderful touch, and would have been easy to leave aside to save money. Instead, a lovely space has been created. The bed was comfy, the TV worked well, the bathroom with walk-in shower was outstanding and the windows of the hotel room open and have screens to keep the bugs out. The front desk staff were excellent, I arrived at 1am from the Prince Rupert Ferry and received a warm welcome. My room was ready. The on-site coffee shop was much appreciated and the meal in the adjoining pub/restaurant was outstanding. The only thing I'd highlight is location, it's up a hill and there's not much of merit around, or in Port Hardy, for that matter, based on my walk all over town.

I was very happy with my decision to choose this hotel in Port Hardy. It was clean with comfortable plush beds, and modern bathroom. I loved the beautiful Indigenous artwork adorning the lobby and the Indigenous details inside our room. The staff were friendly, particularly the gentleman who served us in the petite coffee shop. He's a pastry chef and he baked the delicious strudels. I meant to save it for later, but ate it and bought two more! He was so professional in his demeanor, warm and engaging! He made us feel so welcomed there. Breakfast buffet also exceeded my expectations. I will stay here next time I'm in Port Hardy. A wonderful experience!

Kwa’lilas is a very decent modern hotel - well run, clean, organised, great Wi-Fi, with friendly, helpful staff….everything you want on a trip. It’s a little pricier than some of the motel options but it’s worth the extra in my opinion. My room was spotless and extremely comfortable, although hanging space for clothes was limited and an iron would’ve been handy. Breakfast was a bonus - it wasn’t mentioned to me when booking. And the attached pub had some good beers and served excellent food - something else which I didn’t expect. One drawback is there isn’t a laundry - a place in this location would really benefit from having a couple of washing machines and dryers. I’m sure they have the space….

Good location and good hotel. Room we had was good. Very clean with a very nice bathroom and a big bed. Hotel has some nice features including the pub on site which serves good food and beer. My only negative was the very small and limited breakfast. Most days we went out instead and the choice was so limited.

The Kwa'lilas is an excellent hotel. The staff were great, the room was pristine, the pub was lively, and the complimentary breakfast was perfect. I last stayed in Port Hardy in the 1970's (in the old Seagate!), and so am very impressed with this beautiful new stopping place. Thanks to all involved.

Stayed for 2 nights in June and 1 night in July after returning from a tour. This hotel is spacious and decorated beautifully. Great friendly staff and great meals in the adjoining pub. Spotlessly clean and fresh with comfy beds and pillows. Recommend a stay if your in the area.
