Our stay at Serenity was unplanned but absolutely perfect in every way. We stopped by to borrow the tub one afternoon, fell in love with the place, and ended up spending to perfect nights in their Sunrise Suite. The location is incredible - waterfront cliffs to climb up and down, cliffs that take you from low rocks for wading in...

Shara and Chidakesh are two of the most gracious hosts one could ever hope to encounter at a "retreat". The stunningly beautiful surroundings, peaceful gardens & walkways invited me in, to relax and melt into the serenity they have created. The accommodations were more than I had hoped for, the ambience and graciousness I experienced just isn't found that often...

If you are looking for the perfect getaway in a natural, tranquil and inspiring setting -- this is the place. Perched on a rocky seacliff against a backdrop of awe-inducing ancient cedars and magical wildflowers I marveled again and again at finding myself in such beautiful surroundings. So gorgeous in fact that I spent much less time in my suite...

Burned out, I needed a quick and easy escape from the city. Serenity by the Sea Retreat beckoned. Only a one hour ride from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, I jumped at the opportunity. With few expectations and a handful of books, I made my way there. Co-host Chidakash went out of his way to squeeze me in longer once I...

The place was nice and creatively decorated. Our room had a beautiful view, and the hot bath outside was great. I was expecting a little more privacy, a cleaner bathroom, and better breakast. But the overall experience was still good, and I would recommend it to a friend.

Hubby and I stayed overnight whilst exploring Galliano Island. We had to hunt all over the 'gated compound' to find our hosts - who never did introduce themselves - and were shown a room that someone had obviously just vacated. Getting info on meals, attractions, in and out times was like pulling teeth. The lack of privacy was very creepy...

Shera has crafted a unique cedar gate with many hearts, and the word ‘Welcome’ to greet guests arriving at Serenity by the Sea. It has no lock, or latch. The fence is an almost invisible fish net. We only want to prevent foraging deer from destroying the garden. We have an early check-in time, (noon) so that in-coming guests can...

Serenity by the Sea is an indulgence in art, nature and the land. The property has peaceful gardens floating down the creek into the bay while the house blends into the hillside with sparks of art peaking out. Sharing souls prepare organic foods that nourish both the body and mind. When you are at Serenity, you are not just staying...
