Although the review is under the "Treehouse B&B," we actually stayed at the Cliffhouse cottage, which is the other and more idyllic cottage of the two on the property. Perched on top of a cliff with the ocean below is a spacious one bedroom cottage with an amazing view. The cabin is very rustic, not out of place on Galiano Island, but quite comfortable. The deck outside is large, and big enough for the whole family. There is hide-a-bed in the cottage, or both cottages can be rented (which we have done on the past and stayed with friends). There are windows everywhere and a private outdoor shower overlooking the ocean for you naturists. Your hosts Peter and Lindsay are very friendly and have done a really nice job landscaping the property. Breakfast is not included with the Cliffhouse rental. Book early for summer because it books up very quickly. We have stayed there in the winter as well and it's a great place to watch a storm! All in all, a very peaceful place to holiday!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. The Treehouse was cozy, comfortable, all we needed. The breakfasts that were delivered every morning were fabulous, the views and the people made the trip. It was our own little piece of paradise. We enjoyed driving into town to rent mopeds, explore the beaches and loved the live music at one of the local pubs. Couldn't recommend it more highly for getting back to nature on BC's pristine coast. We can't wait to be back to celebrate our anniversary.

We were lucky to get in with short notice here for two nights. This is a rustic, very private cabin furnished nicely. We stayed in The Treehouse room, which is in back, but still has a view of the water. The Cliffhouse is in front with better view. I believe our unit was the only one that came with breakfast, which was put into a slot opening into the room whenever you had requested it. Food was excellent. The B&B is down a long gravel and dirt road--wouldn't recommend coming in after dark. It is located in the central part of the island, about 15-20 minutes drive from the ferry terminal and services. Highly recommended for couples.

We heard about the TreeHouse through friends who raved about it. They underestimated the experience we had. We spent 5 nights in this Nirvana cottage - Sep 20-25/2020 and unplugged. We had good weather and bad (sun & power-outage storm) and it was all good - especially hosts Lindsay & Peter.

Galiano Island is unique. A total gem. It's perfect for active old people like us who love to explore roads, trails, and beach accesses as well as popping into pubs and public markets. But, coming back to nights in the TreeHouse topped the days.

TripAdvisor only lets 5 Stars for review ratings. We'd give the TreeHouse 20. ~Rita & Garry Rodgers, Nanaimo, BC.

I was so thrilled, to finally get to the Cliffhouse Cottage! We had to cancel the previous year, for medical issues, and this place is not that easy to book! And we were not disappointed when we got there! It is an amazing place, so full of character! We weren't in the cottage a half hour, and had to get on the calendar, and book another weekend for March! There weren't that many weekends left!
Windows all along the front, and amazing views every way you look. No blinds needed, as it is very private.
Pod of orcas went by our first evening there. River otters put on a show. Noisy at night eating their dinner! Note, if the dock is full of otter poop, tell the proprietor. It is easier for them to clean it up before it hardens in the sun.
Our daughter spent two nights with us. She slept in the alcove, so can't tell if the couch is comfy or not.
Lots of books to read there already.

We stayed in the little cabin that came with breakfast, hands down best breakfast I have ever had.. both days. It was amazing. The views from this property and the little underground sauna. We will be back again.

We actually stayed at the Cliffhouse Cottage which is ocean side on same property as the Treehouse. (not sure why it isn't listed on Trip Advisor?) Absolutely would stay here again. So quiet with spectacular views. We had booked in for 2 nights and luckily were able to stay a third night due to a cancellation. Peter and Lindsay were available if needed but left us to enjoy the property undisturbed.

The property is as described. The hosts, Peter and Lindsay were very responsive, pleasant and accomodating. The tree house on Galiano Island is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend. The cabin is rustic and has all the basics for a couple. Peter and Lindsay provided us with all the necessary information ahead of time. The wood buring sauna was an enjoyable experience. Prior to booking, Peter advised us that would be some noise due to construction on the property and when I went ahead with the booking, he offered us a discounted rate. Since there were no guests prior to our arrival and our departure, he offered us an early check in and a late check out. Overall a get stay.

We stayed in the Treehouse for 3 nights, and had the breakfast every morning. If you don't want breakfast served, they will deduct the nightly cost. Breakfast is delivered to your room, in a little two door cupboard. So you do not even see your hosts! One thing though, is that you don't get coffee or tea with the breakfast. That is just fine, as there is plenty of tea and coffee in the cabin. But we like our coffee before breakfast, to just relax, and enjoy it. And while there is lots of sugar in the cabin, there is no cream. That actually comes on the breakfast tray. So, we just kept the leftover cream from our first breakfast, and then we were able t enjoy coffee as soon as we got up the next morning.
Breakfast was good. Nothing fancy, but adequate in every way. Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, yogurt, were all different things that we enjoyed. Orange juice too.
The bathroom had some wonderful toiletries, including "tea bags" for the bath! Lavender and oatmeal, and so nice for the bath. Nice soaps too. One thing missing though, was shampoo! And I hadn't packed any either! We did buy some at the Saturday market though, from a vendor there.
The actual cabin is quite comfortable. There are two comfy old chairs, easy to curl up in them with a good book! It would have been nice to have a lamp behind one of them for reading. The cabin is well protected from the sun, with big trees, so it can still be dark in there, even with the sun shining.
There are a few windows in the cabin, and with them all open, you get a wonderful cross breeze to keep the cabin cool. One window has a screen, and that is the one we kept open at night. Didn't want to invite any mosquitoes in, although we did not see many of the blood suckers anyway!
The BBQ on the deck ws great! Weber brand, small, but good quality, and good condition. My husband, the chef approved!
There is a CD player in the cabin, and music too. Also, the TV has a DVD player, and you can get DVDs from the office. We didn't bother with either the CD player, or the TV, so can't comment on how well they may work.
There is a 1000 piece puzzle in the cabin, if you are that way inclined. I would have attempted a 500 piece one, but hate not being able to finish a puzzle!
Flashlight is there too. If you head down to the deck (over 50 stairs to get down there!!!) in the evening for sunset, don't forget to take the flashlight with you!
Just 3 hangers in the closet. If you were staying for an extended stay, you may want more.
Lots of candles and matches around the cabin, to make it nice and homey.
I loved that the hosts did their best to support all the islands, wherever they could. The coffee was Moonbeans, from Pender Island. Soaps were from Nanaimo and Gabriola Island.
I am really hoping that we can return to this place again next year. Would love to book the Cliffhouse though. The Treehouse is wonderful, but you don't get the same views as you would from the Cliffhouse. You can still see the ocean from the Treehouse, through the trees.

Thank you Lindsay and Peter for an exceptional stay at Treehouse! It was a very cozy little place that exceeded our expectations. This little cabin is a wonderful, self contained little jewel nestled on a hillside property that overlooks the ocean. The grounds were just magical to walk through! Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and Lindsay was great to meet our gluten free needs. Peter directed us to their blackberry bush where we gorged ourselves! After a blustery day of kayaking in wind and rain, it was so soothing to dunk into a hot, double bathtub. Our stay was like having a second honeymoon! It was such a perfect getaway - so much so that posting this may make it harder to book next time! We WILL be back!
