We booked this property based on reviews and a few photos. The photos do not do Pacific Suites justice!! This was a very pleasant surprise all around. The property consists of 5 suites above a upscale grocery store. There is parking very close to the suites, and the property is immaculate. You check in and out at the grocery store, and the staff there are universally first class friendly. The room we had, 201, consists of 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen/living room and a good sized bathroom. There was a dishwasher, microwave and large fridge in the suite, along with a large TV and kitchenette. Air conditioning and blazing fast internet rounded out the package. We also had a view of the ocean from the suite. Overall, an excellent stay that I have already recommended to some family members. You will not be disappointed!!

On our way to the Vancouver Island, we made a stop in Power Rivell, and that location was excellent. Appartement is huge, plenty of room, everything you need in the kitchen. Perfect stop over, plus the food store just underneath the appartements.

I booked two nights here on the recommendation of a local. I don't regret anything about the stay, and I think it was very good value..... had I been traveling with a group. The suite was beautiful and spacious, wonderful view of the ocean, and fully kitted out with mod-cons (except laundry) TVs, all the necessary amenities for a long stay. The suites are situated above a nice market (think: small grocery store and deli, with a great coffee shop) and would be ideal for a family or two couples (or even three, there are 2 queen bedrooms and a living room, and 2 full baths.) For myself, traveling alone for business, it was a little more than I needed, and there were a couple of things that made it awkward. By far the weirdest thing of all is the check-in process. All that is required is a little signage, or even direct communication from the property owners. I booked through Expedia, so there was no personal communication. Fortunately, the person who made the recommendation told me about the downstairs market, so I was able to identify the site, but no where is there a sign, poster or anything to indicate 1) this is also the hotel and 2) where to check in. I circled the building, parked, walked around the building, finally went in and waited until the coffee barista was free and asked her where to check in. She was very kind (as was all the staff), and directed me to the market check out, so I stood in line there until she was free, at which point she had to go get another cashier to take over her till so she could check me in at yet another till. It was no big deal, but after a day's work and 4 hours of travel to get there, it was a little more challenging than I had wished. And them came the question of dinner. There is another resort about half a km away with an ok Bistro/Winebar, but otherwise there is no on site cafe or restaurant. Again, as a woman traveling alone, I would have booked someplace different. Fortunately, the market is well stocked, and I purchased all I needed for dinner... which I cooked myself... Like I say, a little foreknowledge would have alleviated all of the confusion, I simply would have been prepared. The check out was equally confusing-- I ended up just leaving my key with the lady in the deli. I also would have appreciated a second latch on the door. (For security)

All of that aside, these are particular to my needs, and I would HIGHLY recommend this spot to families or groups. There was a lovely patio off my suite as well, that I can well imagine thoroughly enjoying on a warm evening. I would return with a partner or friends

Note to property owners: Please add some explanatory signage "Attention Suite guests! Any of our market staff would be pleased to assist you with check-in!". I wouldn't have minded help to my room too-- I had a lot of stuff to bring in, and there is no elevator, so that should be noted too, for guests with mobility issues.

My wife and I visited this place last night.
The building is beautiful inside and out.
But a huge drawback is the noise from the main road the building is on.
We like to sleep with a bedroom window open, however that is plain impossible.
Even with windows close we woke up a number of times because of traffic noise.
Another small inconvenience is the absence of a coffee maker, a standard item in even budget hotels.

These newly fully furnished apartment style suites are perfect for travelling families. Three bedrooms, furnished with 3 queen size beds, give us lots of space to roam. My children say they are the "most comfy beds"! The suites have everything you need, full kitchen, supplied with all the necessary dishes and two full bathrooms with all the required linens. Get cozy in the spacious, comfortable living room, in front of a stylish new gas fireplace. Enjoy the gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains through the large bay window or grab your coffee and sit out on the large balcony to soak in the scenery.
The only downside to this beautiful property is the price. In addition to the regular nightly price, they charge and extra $15 per person, per night for over the 2 person occupancy. So, travelling with three children, costs you any extra $45/night. This seems a bit extreme to me, since its a 3 bdrm suite, expected to house more than two people.

We stayed here for one night during a week-long British Columbia road trip. First, the view from our suite was spectacular: from our large, picture-frame windows, we could see the crystal blue Georgia Strait and the green, green mountains of Texada Island. The suite was spacious (2 bedrooms, a good-sized bathroom, a kitchen, dining room, living room, and a porch), relatively clean, modern (open-ish floor plan with tall ceilings), conveniently located, quiet, and filled with light during the day. We didn't know what to expect given that it's above a grocery store, but we were pleasantly surprised. Another plus is that it has a free in-unit washer and dryer, which was very helpful.

My only complaints are that some of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty, the couch could be more thoroughly vacuumed (the crevices had crumbs), and there were a few tiny flies inside (a previous guest may have left the door open and let them in).

But those complaints pale in comparison to the all the positives. This place is a steal, and we would recommend staying here.

We stay here a couple of times a year and are never disappointed. Exceptionally clean large suites. Full Kitchen that is completely equiped. They give a 10% discount for the store & deli downstairs that makes amazing cheese bisquits. They make a breakfast bacon & egger with it in the mornings. Coffee is supplied in the room but the coffee shop makes all the specialty coffees as well.

Don't know why there are so limited pictures provided by the owner. The space itself are very spacious and clean. We have booked 3 suites and it is very convenient for big groups as we are sharing the same balcony. The grocery store and coffee shop downstairs is a plus. Staff at Serious coffee are super friendly. Definitely will come back if we are visiting Powell River again.

Was looking for accomadations for myself and 2 siblings for a weekend family get together and came across the Pacific Market and Suites. After reading some reviews I decided to book it and I was glad I did. The 3 bedroom apartment style was great and just what we needed. With the kitchen and all the extras we were able to buy our groceries at the market below and have a place to prepare meals. The deck out front was a nice touch for sitting and relaxing with a bit of an ocean view. The coffee shop below supplied us with our morning pick up and we were close to everything needed. Check in was a breeze but just make sure to see the cashier in the market for yoiur room key as there is no office. Will certainly stay again.

We just recently spent 6 nights at the Pacific Point Market & Suites in Powell River. The place was fabulous! Super spacious (way more room that we needed for just the two of us!), spotlessly clean, very new, very comfortable bed, and lovely open layout.

At the end of each day, this place provided us with a great place to spend our evenings. Although the found of the unit faces the road, the bedrooms were at the back and were very quiet. It was very convenient to have the market downstairs in case we needed anything. When we checked in at the store, a lovely young man looked after us and set the tone for every subsequent encounter.

Our only recommendations would be to:
- in each bedroom, add a second nightable, a chest of drawers, and more hangers
- make sure the kitchen is more thoroughly stocked for basic utensils (ie potato peeler) and more glassware (note: our understanding is that occasionally large groups book up multiple units so items can end up being moved between condos).

We would definitely stay here again!
