Very nice hosts and perfectly arranged rooms/appartments made us immediately feel like staying with good friends. Exceptional breakfast, not only because of the size but also great variation and reflection of local cuisine. A lot of good support from the hosts on what to see and where to go out for dinner as well as information about regional wildlife, landscape...

This little "bright lite" with out a doubt made our stay in Powell River a great start to our honeymoon! The breakfast was to die for and consumed with great delight. The attention to detail.....the plate presentation showed the care and attention as promised. Roger and Shirley both made us seem like family. The rooms were meticulous and all the...

My husband and I spent 5 incredible days in Powell River. The owners of Beacon were knowledgeable, friendly and gave us great advice on restaurants and activities. The view from the house was unbeatable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and very well kept. But the best part was the fabulous breakfast every morning - delicious, healthy and beautifully presented.

We recently stayed at the Beacon B & B on our Honeymoon circle tour of Vancouver Island and the Penninsula. We found Shirley and Roger very hospitible, the food was excellent, the beds were very comfortable, and the view of the ocean was spectacular. We would stay there again in a heart beat. Thanks for making our trip memorable!

They had everything you could think of, even lending us swimsuits so we could use the spa ! A highlight was watching bald eagles taking fish...

The Beacon is an unassuming B&B. However, it is well worth staying there. Roger & Shirley were wonderful, welcoming us as if we were long-lost cousins or something. The place was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent and filling. The view out the front windows looks directly onto the Strait of Georgia. You can walk out the door...

My husband and I were lucky to be able to stay here as my on-line registration was improperly sent. We pulled up on our motorcycles and the host, Roger, while not prepared for us in particular, warmly ushered us in and gave us the good news of a vacancy. We had our choice of two delightfully decorated rooms, (the large...

“The Sunrise room has a little table in it, queen size bed and a nice large closet. It's more than room enough for two. And there are blinds and a sliding door that seperate you from the other room/living area, so you don't have to worry about privacy going from the room to your own bathroom.”
