We went on a family trip during the Labour Day weekend and rented 2 sites side by side. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed it greatly. Lots for the kids to do and 5 minute walk to the amazing beach was a bonus. Lots of families here, clean facilities and we were more or less left alone as...

The campground itself is ok - the entire grounds is really well treed and sheltered from the wind. However the sites vary greatly in terms of privacy and shrubbery. The showers were $1 for 2 minutes of time so it was a lot of in/out to toss more money in. The staff at the front were not friendly or helpful....

I knew what I was getting into when going here, but I reckon it's not for me. Unless you're a family kids thing or in a party gang vibe, don't bother. They actually had a frigging bulldozer working on new sites that started at 7:30 in the morning?!? It's loud, sort of trashy and really crowded. It reminded me of...

My Wife and I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Hornby Island. We stayed at the Tribune Bay campsite over the weekend Aug 19-22. I have stayed at this campsite many times over the years dating far back as 1972 or 73? Like someone posted previous, this is not a Provincial campsite. The vegetation is sparse between sites...

This is one of the most charming campgrounds my Family and I have had the opportunity to frequent over the last 16 years. The campground co-ordinator Linda and her team are highly efficient, very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is going to be a positive experience worth remembering, I highly recommend...

We had three families for a two day stay in early August. The walk to the wonderful beach with tide pools and rocks to explore and endless warm sand and a child friendly beach is five minutes. The adults will appreciate the serious attention to keeping things clean, and recycling, which is so important on an island. Also saving precious...

Positives: -it's walking distance to Tribune Bay Provincial Park, which is easily one of BC's best beaches -walking distance to groceries, liquor store and cafes -the washrooms aren't nearly as dirty as the other reviewers might indicate. I saw the gentleman scrub them well at least daily. Negatives: -roads and sites are either muddy or dusty -sites aren't flat, tough...

I had read a few reviews that had me wary of my stay here, but in reality it's exactly what we wanted and that's a good thing. It's a campsite people. On Hornby Island. Right near Tribune Bay and the Hornby Island Co-op store and food vendors. Yes, there are outhouses (which were well-maintained) and pay showers (also nicely maintained...

I love this campsite. Everything is close so the family can move about easily. There is a grocery store and small shopping area a 5 minute walk from the campsite accessible by a gate. Tip: Buy something at the coffee shop and there is Wi-Fi. The washrooms (outhouse) were clean (bring a headlamp at night). The showers were adequate and...

I booked to stay here before I read any of the reviews and after telling friends, most did not have good things to say about this place. Mainly it was described as a total party campground that was super cramped. So I moved my June 30th booking to June 10th to avoid the crowds and asked for a quiet spot...
