Not sure why this has a low rating!
Booked 1 night away, the inn has a warm cozy cottage feeling with cheerful and friendly staff.
The room was spacious, super comfy king size bed, modern conveniences, no road noise, pet friendly.
Hot continental breakfast had a great variety for anyone.
Inn has a popular pub attached, and there are other food choices around for any budget.
Great spot for catching a flight, early ferry, or just out of town.

Rooms were okay. Pillows lovely and linen soft. I slept well and then came breakfast. Continental with a choice of scrambled eggs and sausage. They were just awful. To top it off, the cutlery was plastic and all leftovers went in one bin. Including plates cutlery and cups. I was shocked that in this day and age there was no recycling. In the room there was coffee facilities but non for tea and again everything was throw away. It was not a cheap stay and I was sad that the experience was less then favourable do to the high energy waste of the TV being on in the room along with the air con , which was unnecessary. I would not tell my fti3nds to use this hotel unless all others were full. On a positive note the pub was fab.

I was booked here for a one night stay while on business travel. The accommodation was acceptable, but the decor is dated and some of the furnishings could use replacement. (e.g. the armoire in my room was missing handles on the drawers).

Due to COVID, breakfast was a pre-packaged egg muffin that i had to re-heat in my room . it would have been useful to have a paper plate to hea it on, as the cheese melted on to the single napkin provided.

The pub did not appeal to me for dining, but i was pleased to find the Marigold Cafe about 500 meters away on Lochside Drive, and for fast food, there is a McD's across the street,

We spent 3 nights here as a getaway from the boredom of COVID Lock down. We have stayed at this Hotel several times and have never been disappointed. This time was no exception. Understandably housekeeping is on request only it was there if you needed it. It is very dog friendly. The adjoining Pub has some of the best Pub food in metro Victoria and exceptional Service.

This hotel in Saanichton has a Bavarian look. The staff are really friendly and willing to help. The hot deluxe continental breakfast is very good with the sausage, eggs and waffles. It also has great bran muffins with the whipped margarine but there is other kinds as well They have a variety of juices, yogurt and cereal along with tea/coffee. The rooms are quiet even with the highway right there. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom had all the amenities. The pub downstairs has great drinks and food, Wednesday wing night is a blast. Overall we had three people and we all enjoyed this hotel and would go again.

The bed was nice and firm (just like I love) - had a great sleep! Friendly staff at the front desk and the breakfast host. I love the unique decor (like an English Pub). The breakfast had waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage plus the usual continental breakfast items. I would highly recommend this place!

We chose to stay here based on convenience and something a bit different. A bit pricey for a place w/o a pool/hot tub/or exercise room but the ambience makes up for it on this occasion. From the sight of the place inside and out and the smell inside ( like old wood with a touch of wood smoke?), you felt like you were stepping back in time or at least settling into a warm relaxing environment. The room was clean and comfortable, front desk service friendly and efficient. We faced the intersection so traffic noise was a bit loud at times ( esp if someone wanted to hammer their gas peddle to the floor ) but not over bearing. The breakfast was well rounded but for missing my whole wheat bread for toast, and in a lovely setting. Walking opportunities near the bldg were enjoyable including gorging on in season Black berries, and a short drive got you to most other amenities like Victoria/Sidney, Butchart and Butterfly Gardens, and the ferry. The in house pub offered tasty and satisfying meals at a reasonable price.

We very much enjoyed this little hotel, especially all the extra little touches that made our stay comfortable such as great blinds, lots of lamps and outlets, soft pillows, two coffee pods instead of one, a makeup remover which many hotels don’t provide any more, extra tissue in case the box runs out, decent buffet breakfast, very friendly staff. The room was very clean and quiet, both of which are important to us. The attached pub was also excellent, with good food and lovely staff.

Stayed two nights at this location and enjoyed it. The decor is lovely with antique accents. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and although things are different due to COVID, they were welcoming and provided adorable bagged breakfasts. Our room was clean and large, facing away from the street so quiet. Would definitely stay again.

I think they do run a shuttle service, but like all hotels I would confirm that first. It is only abou10 minutes by taxi in any case.

The Waddling dog has a room price which includes parking on site and a one way taxi fare to the airport. We have used this service at least 10 times and it is very convenient.I think you have to make arrangements with the hotel for leaving the car longer than two weeks but we have left ours without incident for almost Two and a half weeks in the past. The front desk records your license number and gives out a card for the dashboard.Hope this helps.
