My daughter and I stayed here for 5 days, and had a wonderful experience. Our guide, Ray, picked us up at our B&B in Iquitos and we went by car to Nauta, about 1.5 hours. Then, we went up the Maranon about 1.5 hours by boat to reach the lodge, which is a collection of palm-thatched cabins plus a larger...

Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge is picturesque, rustic and comfortable with helpful and knowledgeable guides. It is exactly what we had hoped for when we booked our trip to the Amazon. Our guide, Oscar, was amazing at spotting and identifying wildlife. If we mentioned anything that we wanted to see or do, he seemed to arrange for it to happen…this included...

Our guide, Oscar, was fantastic! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the jungle and especially about all the different types and species of birds in Peru and around the reserve. Our hikes were very enjoyable and educational. His ability to spot and identify birds and animals from a 20-30mph boat on the river is amazing. He is also very accommodating to...

We spent the final 3 days of our 2 week Peru trip at PSAL and it turned out to be the icing on the cake for us. We had an amazing time at the jungle lodge. The entire 2n/3d trip was handled very professionally by PSAL. The transport connections were all very smooth and comfortable - the airport pickup/drop-off, car...

We spent a terrific 5 days & 4 nights at Pacaya Samiria, including one night at its remote outpost lodge within the national preserve. Turned out we were the only guests so we had an excellent guide--Oscar--and staff of 4-5 people to ourselves. This is the place to stay (in Iquitos region) if you really want to see wildlife as...

Our family stayed at the lodge for 5 days and 4 nights. The lodge is very attractive with individual sleeping huts and a central dining and meeting area. The locale was quite beautiful with river views from each sleeping cabin. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially our guide Oscar and our driver Maclander. Oscar ensured that we saw...

As a professor of Anthropology, I have had the great fortune to take university students to live in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest for several weeks every other year. This year we stayed at the Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge which was a marvelous experience. The lodge itself is fabulous, built by folks in the area using traditional materials in an ecologically...

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at PSAL with a memorbale excursion into the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, camping in the reserve one night. At night the stars were magical, fireflies gigantic, glow worms twinkling in the water lettuce, and the symphony of insects and frogs was incredible. We saw so much wildlife. The PSAL has comfortable, attractive rooms,...
