This was our first stop after arriving in Auckland. An oasis of calm n a great place to recover from jet lag. Spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen n lovely garden. Close to great surf beach n walking/tramping trails. Waterfall is a must see. Take your bathers!

We live in Auckland but stayed in Piha for one night in the double en-suite room. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Shame that previous guests must have dropped something heavy in the bathroom sink as it was cracked, but the rest of the bathroom was good condition, nice powerful shower. We didn't use the shared facilities but...

We stayed in the double room with ensuite. A friend had a double room with shared facilities and found it great also. It was spacious, very comfortable, attractive and clean, as was the whole place. Spacious with great indoor outdoor living. Attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful setting. We would have liked to stay longer than the one night we booked.

What a brilliant place! We were a mixed group of 16 and booked the whole place over a few days for New Year. Great physical facility and easy walk to the village, the beach and up to the truly spectacular falls. Thanks, Geoff!

Located adjacent to the wildness, 20 minutes from Karekare falls, Piha Beachstay is a great place to chill, surf, and hike. Great kitchen, public space, and friendly guests, and a gorgeous yard. Reasonable rates for private rooms with shared bath (I had the Keyhole, with a view of the yard) and bunk rooms. Would happily have spent a week here....

I'm actually sad that i only spent a night there. Situated an hour's drive outside of auckland, it feels like a totally different world. The kitchen and the communal area are simply wonderful, the bathrooms are spacious and clean and the dormroom was great. I would def go there again and stay longer this time. It doesn't feel like a...

You won't find a better place to stay for the price. The whole place is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Amazing view! It's a short walk to the beach. Staff were excellent and friendly. It's everything you need. Would definetely stay here again. Piha is about an hour drive from the Auckland airport.

We booked into the private double room with an en-suite bathroom. We were very happy with the outlook of the room (it was at the end of the hallway), the cleanliness and the furnishings. We had our own deck and a nice view out of the windows. The weekend we were there, it was being staffed by a German couple....

The location and the building itself is just great and the host or likewise the WOOFers were were really nice and helpful. Compared to the surroundings (and in general) the prize is really worth it. I was not able to find something comparable closeby. Plenty of nice hikes around as well.
