We have stayed at Alpine Habitats more than once and most recently in February this year. We have seen first hand the many failings of the previous manager, Rocky Harvey, as noted in trip advisor..."lack of service", "reception unmanned", "on-line services disconnected", "BBQ disgusting", "plates not entirely clean", "over-priced minibar" "service below caravan park" etc. But the Habitats themselves are...

We stayed five nights over Dec/New year period. The accommodation was very comfortable and well designed. We loved the location and the clever placement of all the units that were private and looked out to bush and lots of wildlife. However due to the lack of service we would hesitate to recommend Alpine Habitats. On arrival the reception was unmanned...

After having to travel the long way round from Bright to Crackenback due to a rock fall, not a bad drive though just twice as long although very scenic through Cabramurra, we arrived at a very scenic set of cabins. Upon arrival at Alpine Habitats we were welcomed by a puppy and kitten and a note on the door and...

The habitats themselves are lovely. Not quite the 4 1/2 stars we ve experienced elsewhere though as a star rating that high incorporates service as well as location. On our first night there we found the bbq to be filthy. When we asked the manager 'Rocky' if he could help arrange for it to be cleaned he told us that...

30 minutes from Thredbo these eco houses have everything you need for a home away from home. The houses are well appointed and spacious, very very warm (we had to open the windows and turn off the floor heating as we were hot!). The kitchen is well appointed and the shower and toilet facilities was spacious. Drying racks for those...

We stayed here for 2 nights over the Easter weekend. Immediately loved the location as you don't feel imposed on by other guests and loved the setup in the cabin. It was great to have a king size bed as well as a good sized couch. We used the Webber BBQ and found the kitchen great for a quickly put...

We stayed at Alpine Habitats for two nights in March. This was really quite a good find and very different to the congested accommodation typical of the area. The location is a good compromise, about 10 minutes from Jindabyne and 20 minutes from Thredbo. Our cabin (#14) was very modern, well proportioned and well appointed. Heated floors and an ethanol...

We booked and paid for a one bedroom unit, but were given a two bedroom unit on arrival. The location was lovely, about 10 km from Jindabyne along the road to Thredbo. The units were attractively and modernly furnished and very comfortable. There were king size beds in both bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a drying cabinet...

My friends and I stayed at Alpine Habitats in August for some skiing. Its our first time skiing in Sydney and i think we got lucky to have accommodation at the right place. We wanted to go to both thredbo and perisher and we found our cosy two bedroom apartment at Alpine Habitats! Our journey started from Sydney to Crackenback,...
