My sister paid for me to spend a lovely night there with dinner for my 50th birthday, we had afternoon tea which consisted of beautiful sandwiches and gorgeous cakes. The room was very clean and charming, the dinner was sumptuous and the service was top class. I would recommend a night here for any special occasion.

Had a great relaxing stay here at the weekend. Lovely quite location up a driveway. Hotel and Gardens are beautiful, and staff very friendly. However our double room was really small, and our neighbours very noisy throughout the night but I suppose that can happen anywhere! The hotel seemed quiet but I think that was just the time of year....

This is a really lovely place to go if you want to treat yourself to a good quality and beautifully presented lunch/dinner. The surroundings are very well kept. We were greeted at the door which was opened for us when the waitress spotted us coming. We were then seated in the conservatory a the front of the Lodge and had...

Sometimes afternoon tea in country house hotels is a very formal affair but we found East Lodge very relaxing having served the afternoon tea in the conservatory. The staff were incredibly professional, friendly and attentive but not intrusive. We had full afternoon tea which we took our time over while we had a good catch up with our tea being...

We had our wedding reception here on the 8th November 2014. We had the venue for the day and night which worked out great because all of our family got to share our wedding day and a beautiful breakfast with us the day after. We had been going to east lodge for years for family meals and get togethers and...

I went recently with a party for dinner. Staff could not have been more helpful. We were very well looked after. At the price the food was good. if not outstanding and would certainly consider going again. I give four stars only because the place does not perhaps aspire to be the best hotel and restaurant in Rowsley and to give...

We stayed for two days mid-week in October. There were twelve of us in our party and we were given a private dining room for our dinners and breakfasts. We were given the option of dining in the main dining room or having a room to ourselves, and chose the private room in case we were too noisy for the...
