Reasonably priced accommodation in the grounds of a Benedictine monastery. It's obviously used for religious retreats and is wonderfully peaceful, but only two miles from Hereford city centre. Decent breakfast. Rooms are fine for a night or two - clean with the usual amenities.

Hedley Lodge is the accommodation and restaurant attached to Belmont Abbey in Hereford. The Abbey is well worth a visit and the Benedictine monks who live there offer guest accommodation and a restaurant for visitors. Rooms are basic and perhaps in need of updating however they are clean, very comfortable and relaxing. Free Wifi is provided for guests also. Food...

We had a pleasant stay here. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The setting makes the place quite special. All in all it's really old fashioned (the sort of place you might have stayed at with grandparents when you were little) but we enjoyed it.

To call this place unusual is an understatement and I don't mean that in a good way. I stayed here for one night and that was one night too many. I can only describe the experience as like being a guest in a not very good old people's home. The bedroom was incredibly tired with a mattress that my gran...

The guest house lies within the area of Belmont Abbey which is a working Benedictine community and thus contributes to the atmosphere. The rooms were excellent, the breakfast very good. Very highly recommended.

We stayed at Hedley Lodge whilst on a cycling tour, the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, even offering us secure accommodation for our bikes. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the setting is really peaceful.

restaurant basic but ok, short opening times. Very friendly, and my room was amazing and brilliant value. One of the biggest most comfortable beds I have slept in (wedding suite apparently. Very beautiful grounds and access to Belmont Abbey and RC Church in same complex. When I realised this hotel also provided retreats I understood the place more. Well worth...

So it's a a monastery. A hotel with a monastery next door. I was hoping for a 1970s Hammer Horror thing and to be murdered in the night but life just isn't that exciting. It's all quite normal. I think the hotel is intended accommodation for people on religious retreats so think conference centre. There was a retreat group when...

I arrived late with some colleagues who have previously checked in, my keys were in an envelope at the reception. My rooms was clean and adequate, with a view of the Abbey, in fact I thought I was in the Abbey. We wanted to leave earlier than breakfast but it was no problem for the staff to serve a full...

This was a lot minute booking with no idea what I would find. You could not wish for a better welcome on arrival from Michelle who seems to do everything! The rooms are spotlessly clean, good sized and comfortable. Sparkling shower room with loads of towels and toiletries. Disabled access is not the best there is a stair lift but...
