Having a four legged family member can sometimes bring a challenge finding accommodation, luckily we found Pool House. We stayed for 2 nights, it is a lovely location. The room is in an annex away from the main house and surrounded by an orchard of apples, which I got to take some home and make apple crumble with. Annette and...

A very warm welcome.Private room located separately from the house as part of the garage complex, complete with ensuite bathroom, slippers, dressing gowns, fluffy towels and toiletries. Good selection of teas, coffees and hot choc plus fresh milk and chilled bottled water in mini-fridge. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, inc homegrown raspberries and fruit/cereal and a very good full english breakfast. We chose...

Had a lovely two night stay at this delightful annexe to the gorgeous Pool House. A really comfortable bed and a fantastic breakfast make for a peaceful relaxing visit with lovely hosts. In easy reach of Hereford as well as beautiful countryside.

What a lovely end to our Honeymoon. We stayed for 2 nights in the cottage room. The gardens are peaceful and beautifully kept as is the cottage room which was immaculate. Annette and Ian have thought of everything even down to home made cordial and a whole load of information about the surrounding area. Hay on Wye is well worth...

Our second visit to this lovely B&B so peacefully situated. As before, everything one needs is provided in the "cottage" room which is separated from the main house. Our hosts, Ian and Annette Mansie, were most helpful and obliging. Super breakfasts! Stayed two nights this time on our way down to Cornwall from Cumbria. Got to finally visit Hay-on-Wye, the...

Poolhouse was in a fantastic location and the hosts were good. The room was separate to the main house so privacy was a great bonus. Gardens were brilliantly kept (considering the wet weather that England has had over the past few months). The shower room was very modern and well equipped. My only criticism was the bedroom could have been...

What a wonderful find. Our first impression as we drove into Pool House was that the owners take great pride in their garden and another surprise they grow all their own produce. It really is very difficult to write or criticize a place that is absolutely perfection. It is the first time we have ever stayed at a bed and...

April 2012-- Recently we had the pleasure of staying with Ian and Annette Mansie at the Pond House, Sutton St. Nicholas near Hereford (www.herefordbedandbreakfast.co.uk). What a lovely location, at the edge of a quiet village. The accommdation occupies the ground floor of a modest sized building separate from the main house surrounded by beautifull gardens and close to the large...

Peaceful, immaculate and the breakfast was really top notch. Homegrown tomatoes made all the difference. Accommodation is separate from the main house. The proprietors have years of experience in the hotel trade and it shows, a very professionally run outfit. They were also very kind and thought nothing of giving me lifts two days running.
