The Royal Hotel may look a little dated in parts, but the rooms are modern, although compact, is a great place to stay on business if you want to be in central Bristol. They have their own car park next door (NCP) which turns out to be free when you check out which is a nice bonus. The restaurant is...

We decided to stay here because of a close by event for 2 nights. Got offered room 35, awful beyond belief! Tiles in shower and toilet cracked and just lifting, you would cut your feet easily. Shower itself was so disgusting, I'll not make you sick. We git offered two other rooms which weren't as dirty but the one we...

Stayed here as a last minute and cheap option, so what can you expect really! This hotel is not in a salubrious part of Bristol. The upside of its location, however, is a train station within a 3 mins walk from the hotel, which takes you directly to Temple Meads station in 23 mins. There is also a park and...

I have stayed at the Royal hotel a few times for a job interview/induction. I had no issues with either of my stays, the staff are very friendly, accommodating and will do anything to help. The rooms are very basic but clean and tidy which is all I needed. Very lovely hotel

Had to stay here as a last resort due to nowhere else available due to the rugby world cup. A few of us stayed here and 3 of us came away with insect bites! Rooms are very outdated and unclean. There's no way on earth you'd walk on the carpet barefoot!! Shower didn't work and neither did the tv!!! Absolute...

If your working in the area it is OK. You have to drink the place pretty to make it look good but it has a bar down stairs. Rooms are clean and tidy and has everything you need including fridge and microwave. Staff were all nice and pleasant. Its not the best but was OK to stay here while working...

It was cheap, that's the first thing. Which is a major factor, so I didn't expect a palace, I expected rough around the edges. That's exactly what the hotel is like. It's slightly rough around the edges - carpets coming up slightly, grouting in shower dirty etc. But I get that, I'm not fussed, for the price I was happy....

A very basic so called hotel. Openly open at 11am when the bar opens no reception to speak of. The room is poor at best. The beds are old and uncomfortable with no matching linen or towels. Main room was reasonably clean but details let it down around windows and seals etc. No food available.
