Ideally placed hotel, convenient for a short city break. Is a standard Holiday Inn hotel so you know what you are getting ...like McDonalds, they are the same wherever you go. This said, the reception and Deputy Manager (Victoria) is very personable and helpful, especially when I got locked out of the Car park (oops!) Note: To open car park...

Booked this hotel as it was cheap and near the station, literally across the road. It was a clean and spciaous room for twin bed, the bathroom was a good size as well. Breakfast was included but choice was limiting, having read previous reviews, hot breakfast area had no bacon, only sausage and scrambled eggs with beans. The beds were...

We spent two nights here while on a steam train trip as it was conveniently near the station. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the towels were large and fluffy. We had a room at the back which was quiet and we slept well. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee was available and breakfast...

We stayed here for two nights, the hotel was directly opposite the station so perfect for travelling. It was clean, spacious and provided everything that we needed for a short break. Lovely Italian restaurant almost extra door where the food was excellent. Breakfast was a buffet style, fresh and plentiful. WiFi free and unlimited. Staff very helpful and friendly, would...

Ok hotel, it's clean and the welcome was nice and efficient. The room was clean, with tea/coffee, WiFi. Breakfast is fine, nothing to shout about but it provides an adequate start to the day. Secure parking is £10 a day, do this and walk everywhere. The only downside is you can hear everything, walls like tissue paper, we had a...

A no frills hotel which is adequate for a couple of nights. We were on the 5th floor which was quite quiet. Don't expect mini bars and designer toiletries. There is a body/hair gel dispenser in the shower and hand gel by the sink and that's your lot. A hairdryer is provided and of course a TV. Breakfast is fine,...

The hotel looks to be recently refurbished so the rooms are very comfortable, free wifi, crystal clear flat screen TV's. We were at the back of the hotel on the 6th floor, so above the top of the car park these room face, (even saw an early morning flight of the balloon festival form our room).
