On the plus side has to be the great location. Its easy to get too and has a large multi storey car park up the side road next to the hotel. Our room had been refurbished, and we quite liked the funky new look with jazzy furniture, bright white bathroom, and iron mesh for the wardrobe door. Perhaps if you...

Don't stay here while refurbishment going on - it's basically a building site. My room was freezing and heating didn't work, there was no privacy as room was over looked and the excuse of a work table could not be used when curtains open as they wrapped around it!!! (Room 234). Breakfast was cold and sauna not working. Thankfully only...

The hotel is being completely refurbished, however we were not told about this when we booked and it's not on their website. The room was amazing but the builders were in the room next to ours and were banging until we complained. Luckily we were there Saturday night only as the builders didn't work Sunday or we would have been...

This hotel was being refurbished but was still kept clean and run to a high standard. The building is beautiful and the rooms are clean and in keeping with the building but modern. The service was impeccable, with the kindest and friendliest staff. It's situated within easy walking distance of Cabot circus, Broadmead and the waterfront. Ideal

Having meeting lots of lovely new people at a family celebration (60th) I and a few others found here very disappointing. The meal was pre-ordered and many had beef......to which was almost impossible to get through with a knife and fork! A chicken dish which was served was very boney so was sent back also. Unfortunately our drinks were very...

I stayed here for 5 nights for work purposes. My room was large and recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. There were extensive renovations taking place on the ground floor during my stay, and I was impressed how well the hotel operated despite this disruption. The breakfast was included in my room rate, and was a reasonable buffet selection...

I regularly stay at this hotel on business in Bristol. I found a warm welcome at reception but when I got to my room I was horrified by the new decor. It is very modern (think white tiled bathroom ala public toilet, scaffolding shelving and cheap unfinished wood. The Grand was a lovely traditional historic hotel. The decor was in...

I booked our works Christmas Party for my team of 28 people and I had to write a review to say how great it was. For the price (approx £50 per head) we had a glass of prosecco on arrival, a great three course meal, free bar (beer, cider, wine and some spirits) and DJ. We were in the cellar...
