Stayed many times before and really liked it but this time was poor. I think we should of been informed of the renovation work currently being carried out at the time of our booking. We took friends with us this time and were slightly embarrassed at the experience. The hotel reception currently looks and feels like a cheap foreign holiday...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed here for 5 nights for work purposes. My room was large and recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. There were extensive renovations taking place on the ground floor during my stay, and I was impressed how well the hotel operated despite this disruption. The breakfast was included in my room rate, and was a reasonable buffet selection...

I had a Friday Night booked with my wife as we were off to see the Commitments at the theatre . I had read the latest trip advisor reviews which concerned me greatly . I dropped an email to the hotel on the morning raising my concerns and promptly received a response. The hotel did acknowledge that there is an...

Where do I start ! The fact we booked the hotel and they didn't inform us that the hotel was under renovation? Front entrance floor completely ripped up, plastic everywhere. Now that would be ok if you were informed at booking. The rude staff at the front desk that seem completely useless and that includes the general manager! But I...

We stayed overnight while celebrating a birthday. Had read some of the negative reviews about renovation work so we're a little apprehensive. There was a great deal of work being done in the reception area and some painting in the hallways but it did not affect our stay. We had a room on the second floor which had been refurbished....

I want to thank Kathryn and Robyn for their kind support, help and understanding in helping me organise our charity ball. Right from the beginning I had a lot of help in organising such a very successful event which raised £7115 for BUST. I want to thank the hotel for afternoon tea and spa donation for our raffle and for...

Yes some reformation work is still undwerway in the hotel although I have to say this did not affect our stay at all. The staff were great. the rooms are really well done. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. We had the fastest internet connection I have ever experienced. Once the work is completed this truly will be a Grand...

Booked for two nights on business. I know this brand and was hopeful on all fronts but on arrival, it was immediately apparent that major works are underway in and around reception and elsewhere in the hotel. We had been given no indication at the time of booking. Reception was a cobbled together affair and the area was notable for...

Hotel looks a mess due to refurbishment and lack of staff on reception meant a long check in. No one answering food service number so I had to order from the bar. Food delivered was then wrong. Complained in person to reception still waiting to be called back. No one answering phone from room service, reception or quality line... single...
