The hotel is in a convenient location in the city centre. It has its own secure car park which costs £16 per day. I booked a family room for four people and had expected that upon my arrival I would have a family room for four people. However, when I checked in (about 20 minutes before the official check in...

Checked in early and room was ready, very easy. All the staff were very pleasant. We had a queen bed room (cheapest) on the 4 floor, views of the millennium fountains (1414) Fri/Sat night, no breakfast. Just perfect, yes the bath/shower is tried/dated and leaks on floor but that said the room was more than great and spacious. We were...

Loved our stay! Grand old hotel with charming atmosphere and excellent location within walking distance of major Bristol sights (right beside the Cathedral, good restaurants, shopping, and a few minutes walk from the waterfront). Extremely comfortable beds and pillows (many people at our reunion made the same comment), good size rooms, wonderful breakfast buffet, and competent friendly staff. Free lobbly...

well, pluses: hotel is in a good location for exploring bristol town centre. Nevertheless is probably more suitable for business than family. Swimming pool is quite nice. Reception are quire polite, still considering the price and the fact that it is the royal Marriott I'd expect far more. Rooms are outdated, breakfast same every single time, no variation and a...

I recently attended this hotel in a professional capacity. Now as my regular readers will know I rarely write a review after a single visit. I give each place a chance to improve if there are problems or test their consistency if they are good. In the case of this review I concede that I have done neither of those...

This really is a sumptuous hotel to look at and offers a glimpse of the splendid few hotels can match. The drawing room is comfortable and very relaxing and the enormous paintings just add to the splendour. My room was large, well appointed and had plenty of spare sockets for my gear. Staff were always helpful and prompt. The location...

A very attractive hotel, on the College Green. We had a room with 2 double beds and for 3 of us this was very spacious. Parking is under the hotel, and a little hairy to get in. Breakfast was fine, although the staff were a little slow clearing tables. My only grip was the bar staff in the evening were...

We decided to take a trip to Bristol for a long weekend, to bring back the memories of when my partner went to Bristol university! Having rang the hotel prior to our trip, we arrived at the hotel early, much earlier than usual check in, we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who checked us in promptly, had selected a...
