I really should have read previous reviews. Possibly the worst place I have ever stayed. No central heating in bedroom, had to lay towels and coats over the bed to keep warm . No double glazing. Woke up in the morning to windows dripping with condensation. No bedside light, no milk to make a tea or coffee. Grim, grim, grim.... More

Nice place in a park. Could feel like walking into yoyr own castel. Because of the low price expectations should be tempered of course. My room was cinsisted of a small room, a coridor ans an annexed bathroom a few steps lower. All rather minimal furnished but enough for me. Everything clean. Beers in the bar at good price.

Arrived at hotel only to be told there is no chef and therefore no evening meal. Not much good as I had a package which included evening meal. The room was tatty and smelly and the shower and jacuzzi did not work. The hotel is drab.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a voucher deal. Unfortunately the bad reviews did live up to their new! We were given a grotty room right round the back and it was like a maze trying to get out of the hotel - upstairs, downstairs, round about 100 corners! We had heard that the hotel is haunted so... We stayed at this hotel for just a night we wished we had read some of these reviews first. It is in desperate redevelopment work, our room was really run down and was full of seventies decor, the shower was yellow it was so stained, the floorboards in the room felt like you were going to fall through and just... Although the hotel is in major need of a good redevelopment my stay was Average with was all I could ask for for the price! Room was spacious and bathroom was clean and all in working order. The Bar served Guinness from a can...That's really my only complaint. Good value for money

One word for this hotel! Disgusting! I have honestly never stayed in such squalor in all my life. The place is dirty, run down and old fashioned. The miss matched furniture and green mould light fittings do not add to Its charm nor do the single glazed windows! It's a shame because if the place was closed down for 2... More

This was a really nice hotel. The staff are very friendly and we had a very good meal on Friday night. The hotel is genuinely dog friendly. There is a park next door and all the local residents we came across were very dog friendly. The rooms are fine and there is plenty of available parking on site. The hotel... More
