Checking in was ok and the staff member was friendly enough however very little information was given, for example no mention was made as to where breakfast took place. So I asked, really this information should be given out. I was informed they had room where I could leave my bag and that was not the case. Needed to get...

Had no problems with this hotel. Was good value for money and the staff were nice. Good location for us also. The only thing about the hotel was the rooms could do with a bit of an update. Price also included breakfast which was good and not greasy.

Dear Alastair B, I do agree with you, our staff try to go above and beyond to make our guests stay pleasant and comfortable. And also agree with you that we benefit from a great location. Regarding our rooms, we are gradually updating our rooms however due to our high occupancy this is a fairly gradual process. We hope to...

(+) Central location in Clifton area, quiet neighbourhood. Room large enough for 3 adults and a Border Collie. Variety of food at breakfast, a choice of cereals, fruits & cooked breakfasts. (-) Low water pressure in the shower. Would prefer if the breakfast was cooked when ordered, think most is prepared in advance and plated when required.

Dear Matthew C, Thank you for your review. I do agree we are situated in a great area, very closed to the city centre and with lots of choices to offer; i.e. Clifton suspension bridge, Bristol Zoo, Clifton Village. I am very sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your breakfast; however, breakfast is cooked by order to make sure our...

I had a room in the basement. The room was nice, but the bathroom was cold. (There was a radiator in the bathroom but it wasn't nearly enough). The hot breakfast was very good, and included a vegetarian option.

Outstandingly warm welcome at reception. A nice, clean and well stocked room, which even included our joke requested pictures of Chris Pratt in a heart made of towels. Will only be staying here again.

When we reserved through booking.com we explicitly chose the option to pay in cash at the hotel. However, upon arrival, payment had already been taken from our visa card, though a free cancellation scheme was offered. They do not issue invoices unless asked for. And although we had informed the hotel of our time of arrival, around midnight, the room's...

Dear Roy S, I am very disappointed to read your review. As explained, booking.com clearly states parking is £6 overnight and Unlimited Wifi is £5. This was shown to you and you were invited to show us where it says otherwise. We would have been more than happy to refund you for this if there was a mistake, however none...

On arrival, you may wonder why you have booked the Washington, but before you leave, you will have fallen in love with its quirky charm. While the rooms are a mixed bag of high-ceilinged grandeur and peeling sash windows, the staff are genuinely wonderful. The receptionists couldn't do enough to help when I realised I had left my laptop in...
