My small but cosy single room was on the top floor, up two flights of stairs with no lift. There was a slight issue with the room but this was resolved with no fuss while I went out for dinner. Walking distance to the restaurants of the Triangle. Free on site parking which is a bonus, and they were happy...

A good place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Good welcome, friendly staff. Breakfast good but gluten free bread not toasted very well. It would have been nice to have had a gluten free sausage. Would definitely recommend it.

I visited the Clifton House for one night as I was visiting the university. Not only is it conveniently located for the university, but the stay itself was wonderful. I was greeted by the owner who was very friendly and was very accommodating for me needing to stay a little longer the following day. I had a restful sleep and...

Tiny room, ensure you're not put in room 1 when booking. The room was incredibly hot in the night making sleep near impossible (I saw no pictures of this room on the site). Breakfast was laid out nicely but cooked elements were dreadful (3 of us barely ate anything - 2 of us literally nothing). Promted to make only my...

We stayed here for one night while we cam down to Bristol for a University open day. This B&B is perfectly located for all of the University buildings. Everything is in easy walking distance including a number of very good restaurants and bars as well as the harbourside. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was perfectly adequate for the...

Read all the reviews beforehand and was relieved, all the positive feedback to be true. Gorgeous B&B, tastefully decorated and very clean. Lovely staff. Conveniently located bottom of Whiteladies, short walk to Triangle and University precinct. Got a fabulously large room, minimalist and comfortable. A little bit draughty, given the size of the room and the huge windows, nevertheless, once...

Location ideal. Really friendly staff. Breakfast fine. Large room with minimal/minimalist decor. Strongest power shower ever...seriously invigorating! Felt rather like a small hotel; we had expected a B&B to be a little more 'homely'...but this was really not an issue. We would recommend staying here.

Very comfortable (huge) room, and no external noise (a little room to room noise). The standard of furnishings, and bed is excellent. It was a little under heated (very large room, small radiator), although this was a cold night. The location is ideal for the north of the city centre/ Clifton / Redlands / Whiteladies, and is opposite the BBC...

I'd describe the Clifton as old fashioned but totally without chintz. Walking distance from all the delights of Bristol-hugely welcoming-compact but bijou room-plain but plenty of breakfast....overall we left having felt like we'd been given a big hug.
