We came to this hotel last weekend to stay for a friend's wedding. When we arrived we were unable to check into our room as it was still being cleaned. The very kind receptionist said that we could keep our bags in a safe place until we returned later in the evening to check in. We questioned the security of...

I have stayed here on several occasions during August 2015 for business. I always found the reception staff friendly and professional. The rooms were always clean and well kept. The showers were ok but not brilliant but the toilettries were pleasant. There was plenty to eat for breakfast but it wasn't the best quality and often cold or not very...

Stayed here twice. the first time I felt the value was fine, the room was quite big. this time we didn't have enough room to move around each other we could unpack. Also it was £5 to park which I thought was very steep. I think I paid £125 for a tiny room and no breakfast not great. However, it...

Myself, partner and 2 boys stayed 1 night last week on a university scouting trip for my eldest. We had a small double and a twin room. Firstly I must say congratulations to the owner who is spending a lot of money trying to renovate this run down hotel but if you are going to do it then do not...

Very good stay here.Friendly staff, great breakfast, good free wifi. Happy to recommend. Priced very reasonably for the area. My room overlooked the square. There is a small car park at the rear of the hotel, parking was £5 per day. The on street parking was limited. Will stay here again.

We stayed at the Victoria Square Hotel on Bristol for one night. The hotel is on a a beautiful square a minutes walk from Clifton Village Bristol. The hotel is a Best Western and feels a bit tired and is actually two buildings next to each other. Our room first the front of the building, it want the biggest room...

Positives: Helpful staff and a delicious breakfast. Received an upgrade without requesting. Negatives: The car park had only one space left at 7.00pm (the hotel was full as it was University Graduation week) - we were the lucky ones. There was street parking in the area but we didn't see any spaces. If you are coming by car, check out...

We stayed here two nights. Our room was in the second building up several flights of stairs with no lift - a problem if you had heavy luggage. A bit of a concern should there have been a fire below us as the only exit was back down the stairs as there was no other means of escape? The room...

My husband and I booked a room for 2 nights while we were in Bristol for The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. The first room was downstairs under reception (room 204), we didn't sleep all night it was so noisy, which was a shame as we had to be up at 5am as we had a hot air balloon trip booked...

Well I have read all the half-hearted reviews for this hotel but you really can't expect five star luxury for the prices they are charging. Having said that, I came on a visit to Bristol with my elderly mother and was delighted with the place. The staff (particularly Annexe) were extremely helpful and friendly; we were upgraded to a larger...
