Arrived at the Wellington after a very busy day and was greeted by very friendly staff. Shown to Room 1 and it was lovely. Its difficult to find things wrong with hotels nowadays as good hotels have upped their game. Sockets by the bedside so the alarm on the mobile phone can be set and on charge. My evening meal...

I was surprised with the roast. I wasn't expecting much after our first hour of being there. The gravy was excellent! Potatos and meat were good. The veg was OK, the roasted ones were good but broccoli looked like it had been boiled and re boiled. I think we may have come after a busy period, the staff were deflated,...

I am sad to be writing this review as I really like The Wellington as a pub and frequently visit with my boyfriend for a few pints as we live in the area. However, the food really let us down, especially for such a lovely pub where you would expect higher standards. Very disappointed to arrive and find there was...

We stayed for two nights and found the wellington to be just what we wanted, the location was great for us (parking available and only an hours walk into the center) and the room, food and drinks were all good. Polina (apologies if this is an incorrect spelling) and Izzy were extremely friendly and helpful! Slight downsides were, no hot...

What a great find! We were looking for a family friendly pub in Bristol and came across the Wellington just by chance. Great beer, lovely food, children play area in the garden to keep the little ones entertained, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. The room itself was fine but quite cramped. Bed comfy and great rainfall shower (toiletries also supplied). My main issue was the level of noise from both the people drinking in the beer garden at the front which my room overlooked and from the traffic on Glouchester Road. It was very warm when I...

Very impressed with the refurb of this place. We stayed about 10 years ago when it was more of a standard room above a pub. Both the pub and the rooms have since been done up and it's a much nicer experience. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom and nice breakfast. It's a continental breakfast with a £3 supplement if you want...

we visit the Wellington on a regular basis, Having given it a great review before it is such a shame that the flag ship pub of bath ales feel it is ok to serve their flagship ale cloudy and with sediment.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights this weekend to go to the cricket in Bristol. The ground is about 1 mile away so an easy stroll. The hotel itself is very nice, our room, number 3, was on the corner of the building, large and very comfortable with a fabulous bathroom. I was quite worried about the...
