Firstly this is a hotel made from 2 or 3 Regency houses which must - to some degree - limit what can be done. The staff were excellent and helpful. There was a small public area and the common parts were all first class. The bed was fine as - in general - was the bath. The TV was of...

Visited the Recency for a two night stay with colleagues while in Bristol for business. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay and the rooms were beautifully decorated, quiet and homely. Great shower and comfortable bed - top marks! Would recommend if in need of accommodation in Bristol. Will be returning soon.

We stayed a night here on our trip around the UK for the rugby world cup. The staff working there were fantastic. Fran is a top bloke who is professional but at the same time was able advise some great spots for sport and drinks. The lady who runs the place is amazing. The beds... I cannot describe how comfortable...

I was disappointed by the regency. The long walk up so many stairs to get to the top floor (which I was more than ok with) ended up being disappointing upon seeing, and smelling our room. There was a foul smell in our room during our stay, the room was tiny, which meant that at night, we were boiling hot....

The location of this hotel is really great. Walking distance to all of Bristol, very near the university. The staff are very helpful, advised us on local restaurants, booked taxis and let us store luggage before and after check-out. Check in is a little bit of a palaver, with multiple signatures on various disclaimers, prepayment and a hefty damage deposit...

Overall a good hotel and excellent location. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was fine and modern, however mattress was terrible hence the 3*, otherwise would have been a 4. Arrived after parking restrictions were in place so easy parking.

Location difficult to find if you are not a local. Very poor and overpriced breakfast. No parking available around. Staff busy and providing unclear directions. Noisy. No elevators and endless stairs. Small room. Impossible consider this hotel 4 stars. Never. Overpriced.

Check-in started ok, very friendly. You have to fill out a form and then sign it after you've read the rules on the back. Blackpool B&B style! Our room was pretty good, very clean. The huge bed was actually two joined together but not too bad. Amazingly small tv for the size of the room and set high enough on...

The staff were very friendly, great location but the room was a bit of a let down, tiny room, tiny TV , tiny shower. cheep coffee and toiletries, and the hotel was really noisy, I was woken up at least 3 times at various times through the night. No hot breakfast was a letdown as well. I'm just glad my...

This hotel was basically a very simple B&B - without hot breakfast. But it positions itself as I think a 'posh and authentic' hotel, and charges accordingly. We paid 100 pounds per night for a room very small. I am 1.65m and when i lie on the bed my feet were at the bottom edge of the bed. The shower...
