We stayed two nights in the penthouse apartment at Portland Square last month. The apartment was well appointed, comfortable and stylish - the bathroom was lovely and the beds were comfy. The only fault I could point out was a lack of some basics in the kitchen. I know the apartments are aimed more towards longer term lets - but... More

A good apartment (number 4, FWIW) - clean and well appointed. The TV entertainment was a little dated, but well enough equipped, and I was pleased by the balcony ashtray for smokers. The area (St Pauls) isn't perfect, but any noise you can hear in the street isn't at all audible in the apartment, and any complaints of an unattractive... More

Just came back from our 3 weeks stay at Portland apartments. Rented a 2 bedroom apartment with wifi and a parking space. We were given a flat in a basement-I think it was a flat number 2, which is quite dark. To be honest I expected it to be a bit more spacious seeing the pictures advertised on their website.... More

Just got back from a great two night stay in the two bedroom top floor apartment at Portland Square. From the photos I'd seen and the price we paid I was expecting a really small box like apartment - could I have been more wrong. The apartment is HUGE! Really spacious kitchen/living area and one enormous bathroom and another smaller... More

I only got a day's notice that we were unable to stay at the apartment due to it being trashed the previous weekend. Alternative accommodation was offered in a hotel. Just terrible that it had been left until the day before so we had little time to find something else.

Stayed in an apartment which was very nice, hosted a small gathering there and then got a call stating that we were not allowed to have people around except those on the booking and that if they did not leave he would call the police. Totally unreasonable and just barked at me over the phone. Despite the fact there was... More

I turned up in the middle of the day and was sat in my car with the motor running. There were drunks in the square, one of whom came up to the rear of my car and started pushing it up and down. Thank god for the garage parking available with the apartment. The apartment itself was very clean and... More

Fantastic company with various places to stay (have stayed with them twice in different places) ~For a family travelling with young children, cannot recommend them enough. Well equipped apartments, CLEAN with helpful staff that are laid back yet cannot do enough to help from providing DVD's for sick children to watch to knowing where the best place to eat is.... More

“Apartment #4 is ground floor - ideal if you've got some less mobile people - I can't recall if there's a step at the front door. Other people have mentioned that #2 is the basement - from the view on my balcony, I wouldn't expect it to be very light in there.”
