my visit to squirrel house in May 2015 was like staying with your favourite auntie. The room was clean quiet and comfortable. The private bathroom across the landing was spacious and completely adequate. Breakfast was lovely and the host charming. Off road parking was an asset. The location is out of town centre but pubs for evening meals are in...

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Squirrel House which is in a good location for visiting several National Trust properties. We stayed in the ensuite room which had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The bathroom attached to the bedroom is a good size and has a very good power shower. I stopped off here after annual holidays overseas as I was heading for Oxford before returning home to the west side of Birmingham. Trying to book with the chain hotels is a pain as well as being more costly. Margaret was an excellent host for whom nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was further enhanced as it was her...

Stayed here for a night while visiting an elderly uncle who lives nearby. A lovely house, nice room with en suite bathroom, t.v., wifi. The breakfast was excellent including a delicious fresh fruit salad. Margaret was very friendly. I hope to visit again next year.

I was staying in High Wycombe for a course in Cressex business park and Squirrel house is ideally located just a five minute walk away. Margaret and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful and made sure I had a nice stay , even offering me the use of the microwave and some fridge space to keep food. There is...

For access to the A4040 this is ideal. I was visiting High Wycombe RAF base which was about 15 mins away and this had the best reviews within a close distance that was in-budget. Comfy bed and lovely thick pillows with nice bedding and a well decorated room in a very good state of repair. Lots of spare blankets should...

We only stayed one night. The room was comfortable and clean. Shower was great, plenty of water pressure. Breakfast was continental, good fruit bowl and selection of breads offered. Not sure if you could get a cooked breakfast, wasn't offered. Overall had a good stay and would recommend.

I had a very comfortable stay and even got my bed made each day. Margaret was very welcoming and helpful, if I'm ever back down in high Wycombe I would look at...

Just returned from 4 days visiting family in High Wycombe and stayed at Squirrel house. Not much to say except excellent. Margaret was a great hostess and the accommodation was very clean, lovely and warm and the continental breakfasts good. As we were there approaching Christmas we had the benefit of Margaret's take on Christmas decorations. Everything, everywhere. A place...
