Rooms are modern and well equipped. Breakfast is excellent and the Hall provided a good meal for our reunion in a private room. The gardens are attractive and the Three Horshoes gastropub is only ten minutes walk away if you want an alternative for dinner.

This is a chance for one to stay in a historical and beautiful building in Cambridge and imagine how it might have been centuries ago. There are many areas in the building that are Harry Potter-ish. The dining room is one. When you look out of the window, you will see an extensive beautiful garden. It is reasonably priced with...

I stayed here recently for 3 nights whilst working in Cambridge. I was in a fairly modern lower ground florr single room, which wasn't too expensive compared to hotel prices in Cambridge, but was slightly more expensive than a B&B or a Travelodge. Madingley Hall itself is beautiful, in lovely grounds and with an 'off the beaten track' feel. The...

As part of my business I visit many conference centres and venues across the UK. I was running an event today at Madingley Hall for the first time. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The college is, as you can imagine, very traditional. However they had all the necessary modern facilities, plasma screens, suitable IT, lifts etc. I'll be...

Madingley Hall is THE PLACE to stay if you're in Cambridge to attend a function that's going on at the University. The rates are very reasonable, the service from all of the staff was great, and the food was excellent. By all means, take the time to walk around the property so see the gardens and landscaping. It's well worth...

Not a bad place to stay if you like your room to be like a university hall room with bedlinen & towels. Room was cold, although OK with portable heater provided. The bed was wedged in with a wall at head & foot - not good if you are tall, which I am. Bathroom was basic & old fashioned. However,...

Madingley Hall is in a beautiful spot right outside of Cambridge. You get quality accommodation in a historic building with lovely gardens. Breakfast is fantastic with plenty to choose from. There is a Terrace Bar that serves food and drink most of the day. This is a little outside of Cambridge so might not work well for someone without a...

This is a really lovely place to stay. The rooms, although fairly basic, are extremely comfortable and Madingley Hall itself iis absolutely beautiful with lovely grounds. Breakfast, which is served in the original Tudor hall, is excellent. In my view it is worth considerably more than the very modest room rates. I would absolutely recommend Madingley Hall as an excellent...

Yet another grim institutional dorm of Cambridge. Rooms would satisfy the average monk. Cool feature- no sound insulation between rooms- enjoy hearing your neighbor's phone buzz through the walls! There are some grand original halls. Not really practical for anything. Also a range of uninspired meeting spaces that will make you want to jump out a window.

We booked a double room for a Christmas party here. The building and grounds were very impressive, even in the depths of December and the public areas were clean. The room was clean and tidy, but very basic. There was no minibar as described, and the bath was very small, however the shower was great. The buffet food at the party...
