looked for a hotel in cambridge that was reasonable value but not cheap as we were going to a concert. This popped up for many reasons, cost, location (it was just up the road to the venue) We were given a room in the stable block. We found it quite noisy as the walls were thin and it was a...

I usually stay at the much fairer priced Ashley but wanted somewhere with good access to Cambridge which the Arundel has. That's about all that can be said for it. 135GBP per night. I had a room in the bay windows at the front. Single windows so lots of traffic noise and spotlights shining in. The bathroom was awful. It's...

I have been very pleased with this hotel in the past. This visit disappointing despite lovely dinner and helpful bar staff. Room 309 was smelly (drains) v. small room and small bed. TV ludicrously positioned. Poor breakfast service and poor coffee. V. expensive for such a mediocre experience.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times before and it is located near Jesus green and alongside the river, just a short walk into town. As the years go by the Hotel is getting a little tired and although it did not bother me too much the standard of room cleaning was not great. The restaurant is good and...

The best things about this hotel are the excellent location and parking being included. Rooms are a bit dated with a few knocks around the edges but basically fine. Continental breakfast had a reasonable selection of items.

We've just returned from an overnight stay in this hotel and I doubt that we would return. The reception staff were really pleasant, and the breakfast (I had continental) was good enough with a variety of cereals, juices, and breads. There was also melon and orange pieces, and again pleasant staff. However, I felt our room at the top of...

The hotel is clean and tidy. Staff very polite and accommodating from reception through to housekeepers and restaurant team. Dinner is good and what would be expected for the price, breakfast is less interesting and if you want a cooked breakfast it costs about £9.00 extra! Another additional cost is parking - as most people need to drive to the...

Went with friends for Sunday lunch. It was very disappointing by far the worst one I have ever eaten. Meat tasted pre-cooked whilst the vegetables were over cooked and cold. Yorkshire pudding was nice and the waitress was excellent. Cannot recommend it at all and would never go back again. Found it surprising that a hotel like the Arundel could...

We chose this hotel because it had good reviews and offered parking (at a cost). Our room was pleasant and overlooked the river/canal ( traffic noise could be heard all night). This hotel is located within walking distance of the older parts of Cambridge, and the university colleges. We ate in the Conservatorium/Restaurant on both nights of our stay, and...

Rang the hotel and booked direct with them to clarify parking costs. If you book with hotel parking is free. Book through a third party it is £9.50 per night. Also different rate whether you have continental or cooked breakfast. Booked a standard room and were given one at the front of the hotel overlooking the river Cam and the...
