Had a one night stay here on business and it ticked all the boxes. Staff friendly, good value, parking, room clean, breakfast tasty & good location. Great Italian restaurant opposite was also a bonus. Just watch the cyclist in Cambridge they are everywhere!!!

Let's start with the positive, the staff are really nice and did do their best to help sort some of the problems. The negative is the state of the place. I'm not sure which of its many flaws helped me realise that it's owners don't give a dam about the state of the place. Maybe it could be the trip...

We would have been more enthusiastic about the Helen had we not stayed in two other small hotels in the same price band on the same trip. The Helen offers the advantages of proximity to the Cambridge Rail Station, cleanliness, a selection of shared bath and en suite rooms, and for travelers arriving in Cambridge by car, adequate parking. It's...

I was a bit dubious about booking this hotel after reading reviews but have to say that although there was nothing wrong with the room I have to agree that the breakfast was not brilliant. The hot food is kept in bain marie's and there is no way that the temprature was the legal minmum required for storing hot food....

Small B&B we had an upstairs bedroom that overlooked the garden area which was quite nice, it was extremely hot trying to sleep, but their was a small fan provided, which helped a little. The next morning we had breakfast in their dining room which was really lovely, the young staff that were in the kitchen were very accomodating, overall a...

This was a one night say; I had not stayed here previously. Check in was smooth but I was not given any information about the hotel, simply asked whether I wanted to pay. The room was small, clean and tidy. The décor was bright and the compact bathroom was modern but too small for any shelves to place personal items....

It seems all the world is visiting Oxford these days, thanks the Inspector Morse, but Cambridge is well worth a look-in as well. Our itinerary did not allow us much time, but aside from the college themselves, there are galleries and museums worth your time. The Helen Hotel (it is really a great B&B) is well situated for such a...

We booked into Helen Hotel at very short notice having refused to stay in the totally unsatisfactory place we had previously booked! Our welcome was friendly, professional and informative; the reception area was bright and smart. Our room wasn't huge but had everything we needed for one night's stay and was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The location...

Our room was clean tidy and well appointed. Friendly staff and good car parking and location. The breakfast is a hot and cold buffet style. The cold food was not inspiring - the yoghurts some cheap non branded items and the fruit a choice of past it's best bananas and oranges, or canned peaches. The 'hot' offering was barely tepid...

This is a nice, clean, and quiet hotel. It is on one of the main roads into town, which makes it convenient to get to. It is a bit of a trek to the city centre. Very convenient walk to the Botanic gardens. Breakfast is included, buffet-style standard full English breakfast.
