Dated guest house(not a B and B as we were expecting) in need of refurbishment. Situated some distance out of the Town. Room was adequate for our one night stay but not well appointed and not clean. The owner did however agree to our arriving early which was appreciated as was his assistance in accessing transport into the City and...

Was visiting family in Cambridge for the weekend, we had two rooms. First of all the owner greeted us with 'how would you like to pay'.... Money upfront, no questions asked, this was the last time we seen of him. The rooms, are old fashioned with dust and mould everywhere, the mattresses were worn very Badly, in both rooms! And...

Stayed for 2 nights mid week. Never met the owners or any staff at all. Room was small. The en suite was fine with soap and shower gel in dispensers on the walls. The wifi was poor at best. Expensive for what is being offered. Breakfast not included.

I booked this guest house as it is within walking distance to Cambridge University Hospital. I was expecting a decent stay as it is a '4-star' guest house according to the booking website. However, I was appalled to find poo in the toilet bowl upon entering the toilet. The room was also filthy, small and extremely cold. The heating in...

Title: worst B&B ever The B&B is located in a secondary street, almost 4 km far away from the center, so it takes 40 minutes by walk. The price is too high, compared with the service and the location. He asked me 360 euro (280 pounds) for 4 nights. The owner will ask you to pay immediately, instead of a...

Booked this B&B. They took my money. On day of travel said they were fully booked. Could cancel, but guess what, the online form wouldn't give that option, so could still get charged as they have a policy of no show charging (and they could classify me as a no show since I haven't cancelled). I am deaf, can't use...

Booked here for a three night stay whilst working close to this guest house through a well known booking website. On my arrival I was advised that I would have to pay cash so I ran out to a cash point and settled up the bill prior to being shown to my room. I was shown to a small group...

Ok let me start this lengthy review by saying I do not write bad reviews, I was bought up with the beliefs if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Unfortunately I feel it is my duty to break my rule on this occasion as this poor excuse of a b&b is undoubtably the...

After receiving a phone call whilst in France myself and a colleague had to be in Cambridge by the next morning. We searched the Internet and happened upon "aylesbray lodge" as all other hotels seemed to be booked up (apparently it's a a lot to do with tourism from Japanese and Chinese tourists) Anyway so after a long 8hour drive...

Couldn't get any other accommodation while visiting Cambridge. Says it is four star, but would rate it one. Bathroom wasn't clean, but the beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast was an extra £10, so didn't have it. The room for what it was, was expensive enough. Would I stay again. No!!!
