Visited Oddfellows early Friday evening. Very charming and opulent surrounding. As it was pleasant weather we sat outside. Great place for gatherings. I noticed the table we sat around was booked for later in the evening, which is a great idea. Like any trendy bar in Chester the drinks were a bit pricey but don't mind paying when the overall...

Lovely boutique hotel with great rooms, free standing baths and a great outside area. We celebrated my sisters 50th birthday here and its a great location. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and were very accommodating with flowers and balloons arriving. My sister had a great couple of nights and we would stay here in again!

Stayed as a couple on a Sunday night - just in a standard room. Loved the room - creative space for a small area, very clean and we found all the staff to be helpful and friendly. Did not eat but did had cocktails which were nice and pleasant in the secret garden. It's quirky and eclectic which appeals to...

We stayed here last weekend and after spending nearly 200 for a night and reading all the reviews we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately the rooms here are right above a bar where we kept up all night and going down for a cigarette break you would think we gate crashed a personal party I have never felt...

Positives: - Room exactly as styled on the website (which is always a relief!) and wonderfully quirky (we stayed in a Caldecott Cottage room and I really liked the styling, lovely big TV and found the bed very large and comfortable. The room also included a Roberts radio which was playing soothing classical music when we first came into the...

On a recent weekend in Chester we had the pleasure to stay at the Oddfellows and it really was a pleasure. We're being a little strict on the stars as there were just a couple of minor things that have made it miss the top mark. Plus points first: stayed in the main part of the building in the attic...

Went today for afternoon tea and cocktails. The plus points are that the service was good. the venue is very, very nice and the cocktail was delicious. Now the bad points: Please don't expect the lovely china teacups that you see in the photos. It is cheap earthenware made in UAE. With the UKs pottery industry centred just a few...

We stayed whist attending the Chester races last Friday. The hotel is very quirky and different. The staff who were on reception when we arrived were very helpful and advised us our rooms weren't ready as we arrived early. We wanted to get changed so they told us where there were facilities for this on the first floor. It was...

Lovely venue. We were in the Alice themed room which was lovely. Wasn't really looking forward to the room as wasn't impressed with the set menu, however was pleasantly surprised. Although small, the portions were filling. Waitress was attentive and kept the wine and water flowing. A wonderful place to visit
