Stayed here because my daughter's University accommodation fell through and she could not move into her flat until 14th October, so joined her to show support. The Proprietor and staff went out of their way to be helpful. I had to return home but felt I had left our daughter in safe hands. The rooms are lovingly decorated and clean...

I stayed here along with old friends from the early 70s reuniting in the Chester area. We chose this hotel because of its reasonable price, its proximity to Chester town centre, free onsite parking and generally positive Trip Advisor reviews. LOCATION Avoid the sky-high prices of staying in central Chester and stay here instead for half the price. Only 15-20...

Stayed here twice now, both visits were good. Decent price and really was a good hotel. Great location, only a 10 minute walk from the centre and the breakfast in pretty good.# Would definitely stay again.

We found the public rooms to be homey and charming, with a nice secluded patio outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the wifi adequate. Yes, there are overmany doors on the stairs and narrow hallways, but that comes with the whole Listed Building thing and adds to the experience. It is in a residential district, so the...

We were given a family room on the night we stayed as the hotel was full. We were only charged the normal double room rate which was good of them. The hotel is ideally situated a brisk, very brisk, 10 minute walk fom the city centre. It has limited on site parking but a really good, CCTV guarded overspill car...

I chose to stay at this hotel because of its proximity to my family and to Chester City Centre. It is a great place to stay and I had a lovely time. The hotel is a little old fashioned but there is nothing wrong with that. My room was very comfortable with everything that I would need. The breakfasts were...

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our time here, we received a very nice welcome and the staff although a bit limited did appear go do their best to accommodate the guests throughout our stay. Breakfast was of a good quality and the staff were friendly also. Our room was nicely appointed and clean and with the hotel only a...

Stayed here for 2 nights in early August 2014. Chosen because walking distance from Chester and free parking. Very disappointed with room, a family room cramped with an extra single bed when we were a couple and that was clear from our booking. It was a gloomy room with dark furniture and the only chair had a broken seat. The...

Just arrived back from a two night stay at the Brookside Hotel. We were allocated a ground floor twin room overlooking the car park (not the best view but didn't bother us) and surprisingly very quiet. The room was cosy and compact and had everything we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was very good and service excellent so have...
