Me and along with 17 friends stayed here for my best friends 50th. We hired the whole place which was great so we could have the run of the hostel. Rooms lovely and clean, the kitchen area was great and the outside area was fab!! Graham and his wife were so nice and emails answered the same day.. I'll definitely...

I booked 4 nights and had a nice and peaceful stay. The place is easy to get to from the train station in Chester. You basically exit the train station and walk down the street as it curves into another street and it's right there. Less than a 5 minute walk. Just beware that if you arrive before 4 pm,...

We stayed here as a large group and it was a nice place to spend the weekend. We shared with another group and the atmosphere was great (I guess this depends on the people) and the rooms themselves fine for he money. Good location just out of the centre but easily walkable. Close to train station.

Stayed for one night. The room was very clean but the bed quite uncomfortable. Nice friendly staff, easy to find but nothing exceptional. The offered tea was quite nice. Easy and fast check in and check out (I only needed to drop off my keys in a box as I left very early)

Only a 15 minute walk from the town centre, very welcoming, great facilities (self-catering kitchen, eating area, lounge, free wifi), surprisingly comfortable beds. Lovely sitting area outside for the summer. The accommodation is not hotel standard (cheap and cheerful flooring and bunkbeds) but very clean and we were quite happy with our stay.

What a lovely cheap clean place to stay. We booked this place for 13 children and 4 adults. This was just an over night stop before heading to the eisteddfod in Flint. It was basic but had all you could want. The place also provided basic tea coffee etc. It has a lovey small dinning room and tv area also...

Recently stayed, booked 4 nights, had to check myself out after 2. Friendly staff on arrival who I ended up sharing the room with. Basic accommodation. Sorry to say but very uncomfortable foam mattresses, dirty room (particularly behind bed) and damp smelling shower room that you couldn't even swing a cat in. Needs a full refurbishment in my opinion and...

Just got back from a fantastic weekend stay here. We were a hen party looking for somewhere in the centre of Chester that didn't break the bank. We hired the whole place out and had it all to ourselves. It was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water and a shower in most rooms. The outside area...

We arrived in the evening, to find no staff, but a fairy confused 'long term resident' who seemed to be allowed to look after the place. Didn't book directly with them - they had no idea we were coming. Cheap price, ageing decort. Friendly atmosphere.

Pros: Breakfast included/tea/coffee Cons: Dirty, unloved, unfresh, cold, creepy, trickling shower, mouldy, noisy, dim lighting. Needs closing down and refurbishing to bring this place up to today's standard. Photographs on website were taken a long time ago. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Bathroom not fit for purpose. Full of eastern European men.
