Back again. As good as ever. By the way, another reviewer said that it had not been refurbished. Yes it was, back in 1975/76 Mike extended the pub in to the house next door. It became a bit less squashed, as back then the Albion...More

Took some friends here for a meal on a Saturday night. All 6 of us had a lovely meal ranging from curry to liver and onions to staffordshire oatcakes. Plenty of choice.Generous portions. Quality real ale. Good atmosphere. Coal fire.

As idiosyncratic, extraordinary and superb as ever. If you haven't visited the 'Albion', believe me, life is incomplete: this is how God meant pubs to be. A warm welcome (on an otherwise cold Tuesday morning), excellent beer (Otter) and the best pub food in England....More

Traditional unspoilt pub with friendly service with smiles, real beers/ales and excellent food at reasonable prices. My favourite pub in Chester because it is largely the same as it was 60 or 80 years ago.
