We saw the Albion while walking to the river on the town wall and decided it looked interesting and well worth a visit. It really is worth popping in, you feel like you have been transported back in time to the war years and your in a small pub that would have serviced all the local families in the terraced...

First visit to The Albion Inn but it will not be the last. It is amazing inside and no children, no music and no chips. Staff where wonderful and friendly. Great menu proper English food. Thank you. Did not stay in the Hotel so could not answer those questions properly. Just went for a meal and a drink.

Always a pleasure to come here. Great menu, but you cannot beat the Doorstops sandwiches of Cheshire Cheese & Onion, of Carver Ham & Tomato. Absolutely never been refurbished. Roaring fire & dog parlour with water & chopped sausages. Don't just call in for a quick bite - enjoy the atmosphere

Thanks to Christine, I had a great time in Chester at the Albion. Staying in a lovely room over a proper pub with real ales and real food, was a joy. The place was clean, tidy and very very friendly. I would recommend the breakfast too - fresh and tasty with a good simple range of choices.

Honestly felt like I had been reduced to third class after being made to sit in a tiny room because I had two (very well-behaved) dogs. Also, the menu needs more choice; nothing really appealed to me so I was forced to have a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwich (which I also have to mention was not nice). And...

After being ignored for nearly an hour at The Hickory Smokehouse by teenagers intent on ' admiring' the wannabe Tom Cruise at the bar we stomped out. By this time we were hungry and all of our previously up beat experiences of Chester were likely to be marred buy one crappy pseudo American 'dining' event which we were only researching...

Really old fashioned pub from the street and inside: dark and gloomy inside with green and flowery decor with lots of old memorabilia pre and post wars along the walls, even in the wc. A few good beers on draughts and friendly server. Cosy and worth a visit: there was a man having lunch with looked nice (liver and onions).

Nice little corner pub it has no music no kids and no chips but what it does have is plenty of charm and character and large rations the portions are huge every time we're in Chester this is a do not miss for us for a pint or three and food-for something different check it out

A wonderful place to stay right in the heart of Chester within the city walls with parking included. The two bedrooms (one double, one twin) are tastefully furnished with all your needs catered for. Breakfast is the best we have ever tasted with everything you would want to set you up for the day.

Have eaten here many times on visits to Chester and have never been disappointed. Great uncomplicated food, good sized portions and have to say great beer too. The oatcakes are a speciality and always good. Be aware it's not a modern pub and some of the house rules are a bit unusual but add to the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere of...
