We usually book to go away to a different UK city for our wedding anniversary, this year we chose Chetster. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I booked this hotel on line and requested a canal facing room and a meal on the hotel barge, I received a telephone call within 5 minutes of booking to confirm my...

Stayed for one night. Will not hesitate to return. Easy walk to shops and zoo only 10 min drive max. Hotel very comfortable. Staff very friendly and courteous. Facilities good eg swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and well kitted out gym. Dinner in restaurant was exceptional value for money.

Stayed here for one night with a friend. Our room was clean, comfy and suited us both well. The hotel is situated by the canal and is within easy walking distance of scenic Chester. There was on site, free parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. Happy to give us a map and directions. It's a bit of a hotel...

My fiance booked a surprise night away for us to celebrate 1 month to go until we get married. We arrived early afternoon on friday and check in was easy and welcoming, all required information was provided and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was excellent (434), very spacious and clean. Only slight negatives were shower curtain rail...

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last 10 years because of its great location being only 5 minutes walk to the city centre. The hotel price also includes free car parking in a secure car park yards from the entrance. We also always book a syndicate room as they are larger and in the newer annex...

I spent a Sunday night here with Gamster. Located right by the canal, handy for a tiny stroll into the center and only a few mins walk to the train station. Rooms had everything you need for a short stay, bit small but its only really a base to visit Chester for us so no problem there. The bed was...

Oh how appearances can be deceptive. This hotel looks and tries to be upmarket but it fails miserably. The location is good and the building impressive but closer inspection leads to disappointment. The rooms are small and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom of the room we stayed in had fittings that required replacement. There is no air conditioning and...

We booked The Mill on the basis of its website and photos of an up-market spa hotel, and though the old mill building itself is attractive outside, we were disappointed. First impressions - what looked to be cleaning staff (...but could have been guests) smoking outside a very tired main entrance were not what we expected, and details like the...

A great location for walking a short distance into the city centre. A very good room on the 4th floor, comfortable and very clean. A very busy barwith goodservice and a good size restaurant so the breakfast service on a very busy weekend could accommodate most guests very quickly and the breakfast choice was excellent and of good quality. Serving...

We were allocated a room on the other side of the bridge and facing the canal it was very clean and comfortable it was also very quiet considering they had a disco on the Sat night. This hotel is...
