I'd booked a party of 14 for Sunday lunch at Mill Hotel. 3 courses + coffee for £14 per head. All very impressed with their meals. The roast beef came in thick slices in a tasty gravy, not the usual wafer-thin slices one often gets with Sunday Roast meals. I had the cod in parsley sauce which was excellent. Plenty...

Stayed here 17th and 18th May for a friends 40th birthday weekend, brilliant weekend. Check in easy, rooms ok, bit tatty but for the amount of time spent in there it wasn't a problem, bar area was excellent as were the staff behind the bar, breakfast really nice, be careful though can get very busy and you may have to...

Eight of us stayed for 3 nights Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the bank holiday weekend. Rooms all very comfortable only niggle was broken bathroom door lock. Bar food on arrival was welcome and good value. Well kept and unusual Real Ales in the bar at reasonable prices. There is a very comfortable lounge upstairs with nice seating and a...

I have just returned from a ladies weekend in Chester and this hotel was great all the staff were fantastic from the porters-doormen, reception, bar staff, breakfast room. They were all friendly and could not have done more to make our stay brilliant. There were plenty of happy bar staff, rooms clean and spacious and breakfast very nice indeed. A...

We booked the Mill Hotel in Chester for weekend break and stayed in a business class room. Room was clean and bed very comfy, although only a double..felt quite small. We were 'over the bridge' where the rooms are quiet as the hotel is very lively and busy with dinner and dances Friday & Saturday eves. Spa and pool looked...

The room I had was small. The location can only be described as scruffy. The cost of the room at almost £100 was not good value. i expect it was inflated by the fact that Chester races were taking place. However, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. No air conditioning and pretentious at the price.

We stayed in a business class room, decent size but could of done with a refurb as it looked tired. Room was also really hot despite us turning the heating off. 4am we were woken by a fire alarm, we with another couple followed the fire exit and ended up in the car park as expected. we were the only...

Stayed 2 nights during Chester Races (hotels always dearer this time of year). This hotel gave best deal including free car parking. In Chester most hotels with own car park charge £12.00 per night. This hotel has spa, gym, swimming pool all available in the price. Down side breakfast did not meet standard of the rest of hotel. If they...
