Excellent location for visiting Chester. Rooms are on the small side and could do with more attention to detail regarding cleanliness and room touches ! Breakfast was really good ! Price was expensive compared to other bed and breakfasts we have visited but obviously paying for location rather than facilities.

Great location inside the city wall. Car park at the end of the road then straight over the cross road. We were made to feel really welcome. We were leant a couple of chairs when we went to the outdoor cinema. Surprised at some of the recent comments for the price and age of the building it was really good....

I stayed for just one night in the "cottage". Very cramped and in serious need of a good clean. Had to go to the main house to pick up wifi. On positive side, very quiet so did get a good night's sleep and the lady owner was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked to order.

The bedroom window was locked shut - hazard! There was no shower, but a narrow bath, radiator in bathroom didn't work. The room was grubby, with an empty coke bottle from the previous occupant down the back of the bedside cabinet. The House was full of character and it was close to amenities

Located on a narrow cobbled street in the centre of the town, this guesthouse is truly a gem. The ensuite room was well appointed. The breakfast was good too. The location was fantastic with pubs, restaurants, shops, the walls and the town centre just a short walk away. Perfect for a weekend getaway to experience a bit of culture and...

Finding the place was simple. Parking is away from the building due to the tight streets etc, but not far & it was secure. Once our bags were unpacked David the owner issued a car pass & took one of us & the car to the car park, where our car stayed quite safe for the duration. Upon entering we...

Stayed for a couple of nights last week whilst visiting Chester. We stayed in the cottage building at the rear of the B&B. It is a stand alone building that is accessed through the sitting room and through the rear garden. The cottage has two rooms. The bedroom and the bathroom. A sliding door separates one from the other and...

Nice people, but I am not an animal lover and having a cat in the dining room is not my idea of cleanliness especially when it does its business just in front of the fruit juices. I know this may not be the norm, but it happened on our stay and with open bowls of fruit on the table it...

Host was very friendly and welcoming. Chester Town House is a really charming B&B and located perfectly within the walled city of Chester close to CBD, shops, racecourse etc. The breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable and clean. Top floor bedroom was quaint but spacious. Would stay again and more than happy to recommend.

“Our top room was sweet but would try one of the other rooms next time just for a change of decor. Don't be put off by some uneven floorboards and landings on the stairwell. You have to consider the amazing age and history of the B&B. Its all part of the charm and character.”
