Poor hotel, not very clean, threadbare carpets, very disappointed with this hotel although the manager in charge was very helpful and did his best to control the hen party noise considering the ammount of alcohol they had drunk.

Stayed in the 'family room' on the first floor. Horrible worn out room badly needing renovation and redecoration. The mattress on the single bed is very worn and the pillow was stained and frankly disgusting. Room smelled damp. Very noisy at night with other guest coming in at midnight making a lot of noise for an hour. The owners /...

December 2013 we booked in for a one night stay in August 2014 and paid 60 pounds as requested by the hosts. May 2013 we had a car accident and by June realised that I might not be well enough to travel, so in June 2014, 2 months before the date that we were to stay, I rang, also emailed...

The twin room we had was at the first floor overlooking the front of the building. The properties location is very convenient and thought our stay would be a welcome part to our weekend. We were woken at 7.30 by rain water pouring in through the cracks in the window frame. I used the towels in the room to try...

I booked the accommodation on-line but when getting there the first thing that struck us was the stale smell in the house. On viewing the room we were struck by the look of uncleanliness, drab decorations and outer bedding although on further examination the sheets were clean. We were late arriving due to traffic having travelled from Stonehenge so it...

This B & B is not as advertised. The only good point is the location. The room was not clean and the en suite on ground floor was awful. We didn't stay for breakfast and did not pay full price as it was not worth it. Owner apologised and made an excuse however after reading similar comments made years ago...

The friendliness of the hosts could not tempt me back to Laburnum House in Chester I'm afraid. Bad points first and I'll finish on the good ones. The rooms have not been updated for at least 20 years by the looks. Carpets were dirty and stained and in desperate need for a deep clean. Furniture and fittings very tired looking....

middlemoor waterpark, the waterski/jetski centre 5 mins away are always happy to send our clients to laburnum, its been 20 years since our first clients stayed there and over the decades we have sent thousands there, never heard anything but very very positive comments. It may not be 6 star but its a place where they will bend over backwards...
