It's a good value for what you pay. I prefer the Bunkroom because Bunkroom looks a lot cleaner and tidier than Backpackers. Only because Bunkroom was full, I had to resort to Backpackers. Also, when I was looking for places online, Lloyds of Chester Hotel didn't come up. Otherwise, for double the price which is still very reasonable, I would...

Visited Chester Backpackers as part of a stag party. Was very sceptical beforehand but was pleasantly surprised. We had a dorm for 20 people between 8 of us so loads of room and although the mattresses were a little on the thin side they seemed adequate enough after a stag night. Good value accommodation.

We had a good stay as a large group in the larger dorm area. The stay was good, the room was clean and tidy and was good access into the town area. Will definitely be staying again this year for our annual trip. The staff were very friendly and have lots of help for what to do in he surrounding...

Cosy and homely and a nice place to be. This place has the most heart of anywhere I've ever stayed. The staff are chilled and happy to have you there. Any teething problems people might find to complain about are honestly very small in comparison to how welcome you feel here. You'll get a good night's sleep on a comfy...

£19 was probably cheap for Chester They were very helpful giving us space on the decking outside for our 12 bikes, so they felt very secure. . I'm more used to YHA hostels so I was rather surprised at things like the density of beds in the 18bed dorm and lack of a dining table though the kitchen looked reasonable...

This is classic, affordable no frills accommodation. The facilities were all a little decrepit but at £17 a head we weren't complaining. The hostel is though in a converted pub, which explains its dankness. Cycle storage wasn't great - simply locked up in their yard which seemed a little surprising for the city centre location.

Clean and welcoming. Very friendly staff. Right nextdoor to a huge Waitrose, so no shortage of options for dinner. A better table in the kitchen for eating wouldn't go amiss, but otherwise an excellent stay.

Clean, cosy and an ideal location. Danny was friendly and very helpful. The decor was quirky. We were just a few minutes from the centre. My boyfriend and I stayed for just one night but I would have no hesitation in staying there again.
