Chelsea House is a stylish retro-chic bed and breakfast in Falmouth, Cornwall, originally built in 1908 as the home of a Dutch Packet Ship Captain. Sharon & Nigel are first rate hosts, ever so friendly and welcoming, they even remembered our names throughout the stay despite being fully booked. Our room (the Rod Stewart Room) was immaculate with panoramic sea views and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! Very thoughtful touches throughout our stay including little goodie bags of freshly baked loveliness everyday including the day we left and Sharon's homemade granola was an absolutely fantastic start to every morning of our 3 night stay. We booked an impromptu paddle boarding session and Sharon very kindly gave us some beach towels to use, nothing was too much trouble in their quest for us to have a relaxing and enjoyable mini break. We can't thank you enough!

Don't have enough words to say what a lovely place Sharon and Nigel are running. We have just spent 3 nights here and honestly cannot fault the place. The location is excellent with beaches to one side, easy walking access to the town on the other. The property and facilities have been well designed and presented. The room was clean and our terrace lovely to linger on. The staff all were so helpful, very obviously prepared to go the extra mile, and breakfasts were well worth getting up for. It has a retro-chic vibe and it works so well. Long may this continue.

We wanted to see more of Falmouth after visiting on a cruise. Chelsea House had good reviews, and we weren’t disappointed. The location is spot on. A walk to the lovely beach and Pendennis Castle. Also walking distance into town, hence the car didn’t move for 3 days, until we went to the seal sanctuary. The weather was amazing too. Out of our control but helped make our stay even better. The sea was like a mill pond, and the boat trip to St Maws was a delight. Breakfast was delicious, with a great choice, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend Chelsea House and if we return would definitely stay there again. Thank you Sharon and Nigel for making us feel so welcome.

Room Tip: We booked late so sea view rooms were gone. But you are so close to the sea it didn’t matter.

We love Falmouth and we have never stayed anywhere else other than Chelsea House. We love staying here and its always a wrench to leave. Sharon and Nigel are so welcoming and accomdating and have made some nice improvements/updates to the room. Newer modern television, Alexa, and newer more comfortable furniture for the balconcy (Jimi Hendrix room). We will return again as soon as we can.
