Found this cute and rather stylish B&B for a short stay in Falmouth and what a find it was. We were greeted by Freyja upon arrival who we found very warm and welcoming. All the staff thereafter were lovely and so so nice. We stayed in room 6 which was perfect for what we needed. The breakfast was unbelievably good. Short 5 minute walk and we were dipping our toes in the sea. So good we’re already looking at dates for a return next year.

We stayed at the Sandy Duck for 4 nights(Rooms 3&7) and once again had a fabulous experience. This was probably our 8th visit, and the high standard of everything from the rooms to the breakfast never falters. Freyja and the Sandy Duck team are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive - available for tips on dining, or beaches nearby, or to provide you with a slice of the newly-introduced and delicious afternoon cake offering. Breakfast is always a highlight, particularly the homemade granola and the vegetarian English breakfast. The local coffee is very good, as are the teas, which are also on offer in the rooms. Our Border Terrier Thandi is always given a warm welcome, as well as her own water bowl, treats and drying towel. We have stayed in quite a few of the rooms now, and all of them are stylish and comfortable with lovely bed linen and fabulous wet room style bathrooms. Room 3 is a good size with a bay window/window seat with a sea view. The shower is a generous size with a powerful shower head and lovely hair and body wash products to use. Room 7 has been recently renovated and boasts a vaulted ceiling and a show-stopping copper free standing bath in the bedroom. It also has a great sea view from the window seat. COVID precautions are evident but subtle, and botanical hand gel is available in every room as well as the entry hall. The Sandy Duck is most definitely a stylish home from home and we cannot recommend a stay there highly enough.

We came to drop our daughter at university halls and just wanted an overnight stay to break the journey. What a nice surprise to walk into the beautifully decorated Sandy Duck which had a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in Room 7 which was gorgeous and we had the best shower and sleep on the softest linen. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - we enjoyed our stay so much, thank you. The Sandy Duck has special touches everywhere and you'll feel like you don't want to go home, I would say stop searching and just book.

We stayed for a long weekend, with the dog. The room was great (best shower I've had in a B&B by a long way!), the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent (if it helps with your dog situation you can have breakfast brought to your room). One night we couldn't get a table anywhere but the Sandy Duck was happy for us to get a takeaway delivered there and eat in the dining room which was really handy! And the location is brilliant; an easy walk to town and a number of beaches. Can't recommend the Sandy Duck enough; we'll be back!
