I have hesitated to review The Headland because part of me wants to keep it a closely guarded secret! Everything about this gem of a hotel is excellent - the staff, the rooms, the food (particularly the breakfasts, complete with a buffet and an a la carte menu), the amenities, the superb location (high up, overlooking Fistral Beach), and, above...

We have stayed a number of times in the hotel, but this was our first stay in the apartments. We stayed in the apartments with our dog Ralph. The cottages are 5 star we had a 2 bedroom cottage and there was a bathroom ensuite for both bedrooms. The staff were excellent and everyone at the hotel were very friendly....

Dear Beverley It is really good to see that you have enjoyed a stay in the hotel this time, having had some happy holidays in the cottages. I am delighted that you had such a pleasant break and the only question next time will be 'hotel or cottage? I can think of worse dilemmas! Either way we look forward to...

Charming hotel in a stellar location. It is well kept and oozes history, and its a perfect base to discover the area. The rooms are spacious and modern enough. The restaurant is pretty good and is good value, in particular the picania to share (try it). The common areas with log-wood fires are great for winter. The only downside: The...

Dear Julian Thank you very much for your recommendation and for your praise for The Headland in general. I am very glad that you liked your room, our food and of course our wonderful location. I am sorry to see that you found service slow for meals during your stay and I will bring that to the attention of the...

I was very impressed by the friendliness of the service for the dog aspect of the hotel. As well as this, the staff were all very polite and I really enjoyed my stay there. Thank you for a very good stay at the finest hotel in Cornwall - in my opinion.

Stayed here last night..have to say the £225 we paid for the room was obviously for the view. There was blood on my sheets...the bed had a dip in the middle and was hard...the breakfast was OK but if you go after 945am like we did it does look a bit sorry for itself. As for the man who slipped...

Every hotelier's nightmare: the guests from hell arrive. His credit card is declined, she is drunk, they set off bedroom smoke alarm, staff investigate source of possible fire to be met with "oh yeah, she's got a hangover from hell and needed a cigarette", guests write a scathing review on TripAdvisor who decide that it is fair despite hearing the...

We were hoping for a lovely relaxing stay however we're awoken by a dog barking in a room nearby from 6.15am on a Saturday morning. We left it a while hoping the owners would quieten them down, however it just got louder and louder. We phoned down to reception about an hour later, they said it would be sorted. The...

I find that all hotels have problems but it is how they are handled that sets them apart. There is no doubt it is a beautiful building and have accommodating staff but there is a lack of communication between them. I was told before i set out that there would be no spa baths on certain days.and the electric would...

I am truly sorry to read your comments above. I have personally been to room 037 to ensure the safe and sink are in working order and I am sorry these were not addressed and fixed in a more timely manner.
