This hotel is disgusting. The staff were unhelpful other than one than for one younger chap, everything seemed too much bother. The "spa" is rancid and full of mould and dirt. Simply a health hazard. The whole hotel is outdated, tired and dirty. It's such a shame to see such a grand building being run into the ground. The hotels...

We came here for a small break and were surprised at the opulence of the hotel. In it's time it was obviously for the very rich. The revolving doors and the wooden winding staircase are very dramatic. It is in need of a little TLC in some places and the parking is not so good (pay to park £5 per...

We stayed at the hotel as an early valentines trip for two nights. It's nice and easy to find from Newquay train station and we were given a very warm welcome when we arrived. Our room had lovely high ceilings and big windows which looked over the high street (not as beautiful as a sea view but excellent for people...

Stayed here for 2 nights on a Groupon deal. The positives were: Great location - many rooms over look the beautiful beach, there are plenty of restaurants, pubs, ATM's, shops nearby as well as the train station all within walking distance. (Senor Dick's mexican restaurant was fantastic - do not let the exterior put you off going in). And although...

We like most of the residents of the hotel stayed using a groupon deal, the cream tea was great and enjoyed in the sun room watching the surfers. The room itself was better than i expected having read reviews here, tired and dated but adequate for the stay, we had a beautiful view and to wake up hearing the sound...

Stayed here for 2 nights, the positives were the hotel was easy to find and a good location, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good along with the view from this room and the cream tea was worth having. However, the negatives outshone this. Rooms were very tired, smelt really old and the furniture and room clearly needs a...

Stayed here via a groupon deal. We payed extra for a sea view and have to say the room was amazing. It was massive and very clean. The cream tea we had was delicious. Scones were lovely and warm too! Have to mention Shannon who made our stay extra special. She helped arrange birthday banners, balloons and rose petals on...

The website portrays this luxurious feel to the hotel. Unfortunately reality was somewhat different. The downstairs areas are full of character, especially in the evenings with the fires. Also, the breakfasts and afternoon tea weren't too bad. Sadly, Our room and the 1st and 2nd floors we're filthy. Our room had horrible long musty curtains which made my partner feel...
