I really enjoyed the roast I had at the lugger, as did my friends. There is 5 different choices of meat which is different compared to most who do a choice of 2/3. There is also a much bigger selection of vegetables and extras such as stuffing, leeks etc. The price is good and the food is served all day...

I only had one night, a Sunday, in this hotel. The situation on the sea front is very good. Parking is limited for the number of rooms and the lack of marked bays was a worry of being trapped in. My room was very pleasant, freshly decorated and furnished though the carpet was badly stained and in need of a...

Arrived early, warm welcome and was able to get straight into our room, which was lovely and bright, had 2 large bay windows with chairs in eachoverlooking the sea. Great for sitting and people watching. The room was very clean, cleaned daily with fresh clean white towels each day. Bed was very comfortable. Large shower, but not very powerful shower,...

I booked a room last minute and the bedroom had been refurbished to a high standard - only complaints would be that the corridor stunk of cigarette smoke even tho we where in a non smoking room and breakfast was all fried or microwaved. The only toast provided was white - no option of brown. For the price we paid...

We stayed two nights in a family room with sea view. Room was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was ok with basic minimum. if you wanted to use the kettle either you have to move the table or use it on the floor, plug points are in bizarre places. There weren't many choices for breakfast. On the second...

My husband and I with my 91 year old mother had an excellent Christmas Day lunch at The Lugger Hotel in Penzance. On arriving we were warmly greeted and showed to our festively decorated table. We had booked the 12noon to 3pm sitting and had a leisurely meal without being rushed or hassled to finish. The dining room was warm,...

Arrived on a wet and windy November afternoon. Friendly greeting, shown to room. As to be expected, great room with a sea view (discovered that in the morning). Only downside was that the restaurant is closed on a Tuesday evening. If I'd have been notified, 5 stars would have been given..

I stayed here for two nights while starting a Lands End to John O Groats bike ride. It was cheap and perfectly adequate for my requirements. The room was compact with an adequate en-suite. It wasn't luxurious but for what I paid I got my money's worth. I didn't eat or drink in the hotel except for breakfast, which was...
