Stayed here for 3 nights and all I can say is it doesnt say anywhere on the website there are no showers in room's and no lift ....the room we had was at the top of the hotel and as a 60 year old lady climbing up 57 steps daily as you can imagine was quite tough. The hotel is...

The Union is full of character and history. Walking around it is endlessly fascinating: you find a portrait of Napoleon, a death mask of Lord Nelson, models of sailing ships and rooms full of French antiques. It's like staying in a stately home! The rooms are comfortable and individual. Mine had a fantastic view of the harbour, the sea and...

What a rude old man for a receptionist! A terribly unkempt annoyed old man told us off (including my elderly in-laws) the moment we stepped into the hotel. He snapped at all of us & we never got a chance to explain that our email sent 3 weeks ago never got replied although we informed them how many children were...

This has become our second home and this is because we love it here. One summer and one winter holiday not enough but all we can afford for now. The staff always remember us, what we like to drink and eat and are always so friendly amped helpful. New staff quickly became as warm and dear to us as the...

I stayed here for two nights as I was working locally. Chosen for it's location, I was looking forward to staying in a historic building in the centre of Penzance Sadly, my expectations weren't met. Firstly, my room was tired, musty and dirty: cobwebs adorned the walls, hairs in the bath and the soft furnishings torn (the bed valance was...

We didn't use the hotel facility as we had family close by. We chose to use the onsite Hamilton Restaurant within the Union Hotel. We were greated by Howie who was most welcoming. We realised early on he has a very dry and sometimes sarcastic sense of humour, which, due to living up country appealed to us (not everyone gets...

Booked online and gave wrong date to Booking.com. By telephoning the Union the manager fixed all in a trice. We had a great room.....old but but modernised with excellent views and an opening window. (Shame they don't train the seagulls to shut up at 4am!) It was a Saturday night and they had a great jazz band.....a funky but very...

This was such a beautiful hotel. The night I stayed with my Mum the hotel had a jazz band on so the atmosphere was electric! The owner was very friendly & warming as we arrived & we were made to feel like a member of a family. I highly recommend this hotel as this is the one I will be...

Great location for everything! Walkable from the train and bus station and 5minute walk from the coast wall. The manager is 'enthusiastic' and a little 'eccentric' to say the least, and says what he thinks...so take nothing to heart! Once you've overcome the initial greetings he'll do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and was very helpful...

This is a very ancient hotel that´s part of the history of England. In a very nice area inside the hotel was first announced the English victory at Trafalgar. Ask the manager, who is a very welcoming person to show you. The restaurant were the (good) breakfast is served is very beautiful with a lot of stuff from its closed...
