My sincere apologies for this long post, but I feel I have to give examples of how bad our experience was for people to better understand where I'm coming from. Not very welcoming. On arrival, no Receptionist. Reception area very untidy - looked as if a dustbin of loose A4 sheets of paper, plastic bags etc had been emptied over...

The room was filthy it had food/blood stained curtains. The bed linen had a blood stain on it. There was a blanket underneath the TV and had food/blood stains on it. The corridor had the wallpaper coming off it and stank. Underneath the bathroom mat there was rust covered up. We didn't stay for breakfast we just wanted to get...

filthy, of moldy room , filthy and rude manager, filthy dog. You should run away immediately!! It does not function as accommodation. It should be dismantled. Breakfast:bread, yogurt, orange juice, 8.5 £ too expensive!

The location is excellent as near sea front, railway station and town centre. Breakfast caters very well for a range of diets including veggie & vegan. Very hospitable hosts. Good value for money, comparatively. The building needs refurbishment but has character. Dog friendly.

Filthy reception. Filthy man at reception stinking of dog and cigarettes. Truly terrifying place. Walked in and out again. Asked around afterwards and men that run it are known as real weirdoes and to be avoided. Again, how is it allowed to stay open? Keep children away from here. Will haunt them forever!

Place was dirty smelly and old. The bloke who works there is in the same clothes and same boots with holes in everyday with his dirty yellow beard. The rooms are mouldy and disgusting. I advise for no one to stay at this place

The entrance are was dark and dingy. The male person who greeted us was dirty, smelly. The place smelled of damp, mould was evident and the bed, curtain and area surrounding the window was soaking wet. The window had been left open, presumably to try and rid the place of damp smell. The bed was therefore wet. Not sure if...

Yes that is correct. As we walked in to the most reasonably priced hotel in Penzance the impression is not good. The room is mini. The toilet and shower are in what I opened thinking it was the wardrobe. I have just come to bed on my first night to find someone else's toenail on the bedside table
