We traveled to Cornwall in the UK. We stayed at the Hathaway Guest House. It is located on the hill above Port Issac and affords a beautiful view of the harbor and town. The breakfasts were wonderful English breakfasts with all the trimmings. The dining room also has a great view of the harbor. The B & B does not... More

Staying at Hathaway Guest House which, although technically sleeps 15, is home for the week to just four of us (three golfers plus me). Overlooking the historic Port Isaac Harbour, the drive up to the house is not for the faint-heared (teeny narrow road, invariably, even in winter, blocked by "blow-ins" wanting to see Doc Marten's house just down the... My husband and I just spent a fabulous week at Hathaway House ....it was a brilliant choice! We stayed in the self contained flat which is on the top floor of the house. The views are magnificent ...the flat has a velux window seat with side views to the start of the coastal walk and if you climb up the... More

Stayed in this guest house for two nights in September. After some scares getting through the village streets (very narrow) we were glad to arrive. Fantastic views and the hosts very friendly and helpful. The coastal path is next to the house so we spent the day walking. Ask the hosts for walking directions as they have great suggestions and... Spent a week in the self catering flat in Hathaway B & B. Access is through the house, which is lovely and the flat is on the top floor. Adequate room for two people with well equipped kitchen area, lounge area and partitioned off sleeping area. Bathroom good size with over bath shower. This does the job but is no... More

We found it difficult to access the Hathaway Guest House. You have to drive up a steep single track road often clogged with pedestrians climbing up to be photographed outside a key location in Martin Clunes’ Doc Martin series. As Marion, Hathaway’s owner said at the top, it’s worth the effort. The Guest House enjoys a spectacular view over Port... More

I chose this B'n'B based on the trip advisor reviews and what a great choice it was too. We stayed in room 2 with the glorious view of the harbour, breakfast was great a full English assembled into a smiley face, with good quality produce and home reared eggs! My breakfast sustained me until 3pm which worked wonders on our... More

Port Isaac is a delightful place to visit and stay. Nigel very welcoming and chatty, Marion a little more routine/regimented. Would have loved to have spent more time, perhaps with a chilled glass of something in the garden overlooking the glorious views but didn't feel comfortable to do so.

Marion, the proprietress, could not have been more hospitable or accomodating. A lovely person. She and her husband are first rate hosts. The room was comfortable, but just manueverable for two people, barely. The bathroom was the size of a postage stamp, so plan on banging your head into the shower stall as you get up from the toilet (!!)... More

“Can't comment as we stayed in the self contained flat, but the house is lovely. The rooms at the front obviously overlook the harbour, but the back rooms also good view with the coastal footpath and fields with cows in. As this is the last house in Port Isaac there is no noise. Although you could hear Port Isaac's 'Fisherman's Friend' when they sang on the beach on the Friday night, another bonus!!”

“Access to this B&B sux, but your efforts to get there will be rewarded with spectacular views of the harbour, the ocean, and town. Have a good navigator with you - not just to get up Roscarrock Hill, but anywhere thru Port Issac. Proprietor takes CASH ONLY and since ATMs are few to non-existent in Port Issac, be prepared with CASH.”
