We stayed in the Queens on Christmas Eve and Christmas night. Our family of four fit perfectly in room #3. Bunk beds for our two kids and a comfy bed for the adults with a delightful down comforter. The staff was very warm and helpful with little details to make our holiday even more festive. The meals are first rate...

This place is fantastic. Wide range of ales and lager and staff are friendly and welcoming. Very clean. A must visit. Dog friendly and family friendly. Would thoroughly recommend. Haven't stayed at hotel but the bar is worth a visit and food looks amazing.

Three of us were looking for something swanky, it was a friends 40th, after all the places we planned on going to, we found out they were shut for the season, we popped into this little gem, half the price of the rest of the restaurants but the food was amazing, I had the lamb, my friend had the mussels...

Utterly blown away by this place. Relatively easy to find. The chap behind the bar recommended places for us to park. We parked at the train station car park which is a nice ten minute walk. We stopped for lunch, brilliant value for a fiver. Mussels and chips were delicious! Very friendly service. We had a spacious room on the...

We were booked to stay here for two nights as part of a relaxing week away from London. The room we were given was small and cramped. Walking around the bed you had to be careful not to knock your legs on the side. The shower is awkwardly positioned. Doors open out against the wall?? Poor design. Walls thin as...

Storm Barney raging but this seemed to enhance the beauty of St Ives which has a special light quality and lots of maritime interest. It is a refreshing change not to find any charity shops on the seafront as they are situated in other back streets. Their place on the front has been taken by a plethora of shops selling...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
