We booked a meal here during our stay in St Ives. We were not disappointed - the staff were really friendly and efficient and made us feel really welcome. They have an amazing choice of gins there is you want something different. The food was really tasty and well presented - a cut above the average gastro pub - and...

I went to St ives for a night away and this hotel was ideally situated, right in the town centre. Reasonably priced and well worth it for the full cornish breakfast in the morning. I am very particularly about breakfasts as i enjoy it more when it is LOCAL and BRITISH and this breakfast was every fine tasty quality meat....

The Queens looks like another ordinary pub on the main road through the centre of St Ives, but is well worth a visit. The bar has character and is simply furnished with wooden furniture. The food menu is not large but does give enough choice for most people. We chose the cheapest food items at £9 each, and they were...

Our first stay at the Queens Hotel and it will not be our last, very helpful friendly staff, comfortable room, fantastic breakfast and evening meals. Location is perfect for visiting St Ives as its in the heart of the town and close to all the shops and amenities.

We always pop in for a beer which is well kept, this year we visited as a large family group ( 11 ) and ate at long table which worked really well, we all have different tastes but all the dishes were really good quality and hot and arrived at the same time which makes a change. Me and my...

Upon visiting St Ives one damp day, upon seeing the menu board outside, we decided this place looked like a good stop for lunch. Unfortunately, upon entering, not only did the chap behind the bar completely ignore us stood at the bar until we asked for a menu, we were then told that the menu outside was for the evening...

Stayed here with mum, auntie and cousin. Location is excellent, right in the centre so everything was a minutes walk away. Rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. Great bathroom too. We stayed in the superior double and couldn't fault it. Nice and quiet too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Would definately stay here again.

I made a very last minute booking to stay here whilst on a business trip in St. Ives. I telephoned the receptionist who informed me that the rooms were £49 so I booked two and parked up to walk down to the hotel. On arrival I was told that the price was actually £59 and I would have to pay...

We escaped to St Ives for a fun fancy dress new year and booked into the Queens on New Years Eve. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was fun and the place was very relaxed. The room was fairly small but fine with all the usual stuff provided. We were on the top floor which offered glimpsed views of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
